Child Labour Laws are Ruining this Country.

Ok I'm just on for a second to vent.

A transition year student has joined us for work experience.

Despite details instructions, my car is covered in streaks from her sub-par waxing job and the pile of bricks she carried up the ladder with the hod was rather pitiful.

As for her sheet metal work. Forget about it moping

Kids today. Goddamn snowflakes.

That reminded me of Mrs. Doyle and the roof.

Kids today, even my own son! roll eyes roll eyes roll eyes
I would say get a ladder hoist as many bundles of shingles Ive carried up a ladder its just labor but things move much smoother
Okay friend lets not forget that these are children still
They are still young and finding their way through life and its not right to let your frustrations discourage them
Be patient with them okay
Remember you were a kid once yourself scold
Yep can agree to certain extent, but we have to teach the youngsters, that's why we have partnerships etc. teddybear
Apprentice dam computer changed my words trying to read my mind grin silly thing rolling on the floor laughing
Oh, I meant it's NOT all gloom, sorry mumbling
Maybe to some degree, but I think it's been exaggerated to an extent. Often when I see people simply disagreeing with what someone said, I pretty frequently see people reacting as if that first person had said the second person shouldn't have the right to imply to disagree.
laugh
I had my son to sign a contract when he was 6 to act right no matter what. He is 33 now and I have to bring that contract out and show him every now and again. laugh
Wen laugh brilliant. Hope things good for youhug
you need a bigger student
@ Red, thumbs up hug
Aw, you should have left it to run I was really enjoying that laugh

Still, no-one reads comments, if enough comments come in to cover your confession the fun can continue grin
I was enjoying reading them too

I think somewhere in the middle of th Atlantic is some kind of barrier which blocks the understanding of our type of humour laugh
Ya think it's an across-the-pond thing? There have been some US shows that I absolutely loved, and thought very clever, and some UK shows which had a huge fan base which I watched once and avoided like the plague, so you could be right.

Because of the equity ban for so many years I probably didn't develop the right sense of humour sigh

Don't tell anyone, but I could only manage Ab Fab in tiny doses. blushing
Maybe it is a cultural thing. Seems like my kinda humour def hits a wall of sorts outside of British Isles.

Literally the first thing I said to that student via email was 'Must bring own shovel!'

Aside: In this new era of virtue signalling, it's getting harder to say anything playfully.
Something lost there I think.
Notable exception: Methuselah
Yes just get a bigger student. Twas obvious in hindsight tip hat
My legal team have advised me to issue this press release:
I also hope it's obvious that there are many many hilarious and likeable people who's comments I welcome, that are too numerous to mention (not just the right honourable Methuselah).

K bye
