In January 1965 singer Shirley Ellis released a single record called "The Name Game" that made it to #3 on the US song charts for Billboard Hot 100. It stayed in the top ten for 5 weeks. As far as I can tell, three other songs peaked at number one keeping Shirley from making it to the top of the charts.Those 3 songs were:

The Name Game is a light-hearted song with upbeat tempo and easy to remember melody. According to Wikipedia, The Name Game was created as a rhyming song based on a game Shirley played as a child.
There are some simple rules to the game and it can be used with nearly every first name... however, there are exceptions.
