Snow or Cold?
Which do you prefer? Luckily for us in Chicago, we don't have to choose. Today a balmy 12 degrees. Expecting 7- 13 inches of snow (depending on what part of the area you live in) by tomorrow night but tomorrow's high will seem like a tropical 34 degrees. Then come Tues, Wed and Thursday - the bottom falls out.Tuesday's high 1
Wednesday's high -11 (with a possible wind chill of -50)
Thursday ohh we might see 0 with still high possibility of -45 wind chill)
So if it's winter you like then come on down to Chicago! You know, The Windy City!

Outside that context I despise 'em equally
Worst cold/wind combo I've ever experienced was something like -30* F & 20 mph wind...rare getting that cold & that much wind.
Wind chill was about -150 F.
Time one could be outside was measured in minutes while wearing Arctic survival gear.
It felt like everything in the world was trying to kill you.
It's Winter Storm Beth.
You should try it.

By any chance - is EnvironmentAl Gore holding a Global Warming event in Chicago?

We were living in Macau then and May to early Nov- typhoon season. There was this one year when the typhoon hit Macau on a weekend and my kids were devastated! coz they need not attend anyhow on weekends
I remember when we were young - we prayed for snow days which, unlike now, were few and far between. Nowadays they seem to close them for any little reason.
I have something to show you....
The merest mention of the word 'bake' and.....

Don't move to Florida because there is already enough snowbirds here. That's in my bucket list, I want to become a snow bird someday.
We all KNOW you work for Florida's Dept. Of Tourism & Tampa's Visitor's Bureau.
I'm guessing you have a motel operation too.
I´m going underground so I don´t have to listen to you anymore
Not lookin' good for ya...

If I had a choice; it would be snow.
Snow generally means it's not AS cold out side.
Too bad it can't be late spring, early summer year round.
Just get through the next 2 days and a little warm up for the weekend
