Anyone having good weather?

My daughter is walking her dog in 6 inches of snow. My friend there in Natal is resisting being washed out of her house by torrential rain. I know there's ice and snow and hail and awful stuff everywhere. Even sunny Spain is currently raining on the plain and here too, and will be until what the forecast calls 'breezy conditions' will blow the rain away.

So if anyone is enjoying lovely weather, do cheer us up, or make us jealous, or something.

And if your conditions are frightening - well, you probably don't have electricity to share. Sterkte.

(I say, what a jolly British sort of blog this is, what?)

Most of Canada is stuck in a polar vortex which is just air from the arctic making its way south, temps anywhere between -25 to -40 depending on where you are. My province is just far enough east to avoid the cold air

Well, Biff, I'd love to lie about that, but I like a simple, retro road machine looking ride. Not even a windshield, even for those road trips Ooouuuut there to Oh Canada, Ehhhh?But when Dad passed, I inherited the full Santa Suit, white balled cap and all. He always HoHoHo'd away among us tots, in the day, bag full of goodies (a pillow case). I try to ride, suit on, weather allowing, about town, most Christmas days. Got my own HoHoHo routine. Folks think it's a hoot. I'll search for pics to post.

Track how long is it due to last? Because that sounds absolutely terrifying, from what Nam said of his temperatures hopefully already past you and maybe soon to warm up again. I don't think I have ever experienced temps below -9 C in my entire life (and very happy to keep it that way)

Thanks, Biff, I can always use all the help I can scrounge up. But actually, still use the rabbit fur lined leather opposable thumb mittens we got decades ago in Helsinki. When it comes to winter gear, the Finns know a thing or two. They build the women the same way. But not sure that's all very healthy for us menfolk.

-9 starts to feel pretty cold. Lowest I ever felt was one year the vortex engulfed my province and it got down to -21 one evening and I went to the corner store. The walk from the car to the store entrance in that freezing cold damp air was a total shock. I'm lucky because my province don't get the crazy cold like the rest of Canada. -10 overnight low is considered cold here (rest of Canada hanging in the -20s).

I can remember a time where 1 hour old blogs would be on the 2nd page. 15 years ago here, it was hopping, lots and lots of people and the trolls wasn't so problematic.

23 - 26 C plus a nice breeze from Atlantic ocean, just in front of the house and still the Sun out there too.......all the day some small sailing boats and wind surfers moving around ......as the Resort in the back of the hill, of my house, where they are teaching sailing......so quietly and peaceful, only the small waves against the shore make some little noise.
Enough jealous already ????

Luke, perfect summer day in other words, not too hot. Sounds fab!

Bear, my house is built for hot weather (foot-thick walls for starters) so is nearly as chilly in cold weather as a garage apt, got my heater on too even though outside in the sun the weather is lovely!

Chat and Fay, has there been a Florida meet yet? I know it's a big state but there seem to be a lot of CS people enjoying your nice climate!
