GROUNDHOG DAY! WINTER WILL
1) END2) CONTINUE FOR SIX MORE HELLISH WEEKS
History...
Groundhogs (aka hedgehogs, whistle pigs, woodchucks, marmots) break hibernation this time of year. According to weather lore, if they see their shadows, it frightens them. They return to their holes & Winter will continue for six more weeks.
.........
If, however, it is cloudy, they do not see the shadow, so they remain out of their Winter abode and...WINTER ENDS!
