Waiting for the daylight

Well I'm all geared up, ready to go but stuck in third gear waiting on the daylight. In my younger days the dark would not stop me, in these golden years (where gold is more plentiful in urine than $) the dark affects my vision making me uncomfortable to drive, especially when I don't know where I'm going.

I get a kick out of myself and how many times I'm chomping at the bit to drive off and I have to wait on the daylight. It's an ideal time to blog, tidy up, work on a project and listen to music.

Good Morning everyone - I really hope everyone gets to enjoy their day, especiallly all the Super Bowl Fans. Later today my brother and I are having a wings cookoff although neither of us are football fans but the whole rest of the family is. I love fixing football fodder.

Good Morning Unfayzed, Don t feel alone about waiting for daylight, you re not alone. I m 60, and know a lot of people in that age group, and older that feel the same way. The roads, the weather don t scare me , other drivers, the younger crowd does, doh
I have excellent eyesight, good driver, and yet the attitude , and driving habits of a lot of the other drivers on the road scares me, doh I ve had 2 accidents in the last 2 yrs, and have had plenty of close calls, doh because of people texting while driving doh
Hope I don t sound like I m turning into a Miserable old man, rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing
For me, my solution is I head out early to do my shopping, sit and have a coffee, just before the stores open, and miss the early morning rush. I avoid the texting drivers, the speed demons, the tailgaters.... And when I do my early morning shopping, it has some perks, easy parking, shopping, ….. and other shoppers , and store staff are always in good moods. yay
Good move. What if you casually misplaced you glasses or they fell off?
I like mornings for the same reason onetoone.

Korn I have several backup glasses. Glasses don't help me see in the dark though.

The dark also didn't let me know that daylight was coming thick as pea soup with fog. ugh
My brother had problem with night vision. Last year, he had 2 surgeries and cataracts were removed. He's able to see at night again.

That's how I did it. Bad enough to have to work for stuff, but I'm not about to fight for it too.
I also don't like driving at night, especially when it's raining. The glare of the headlights and reflection off the wet roads makes it really hard to see. I do have the yellow night driving glasses, and they do help a lot, but I'd prefer not to drive in the dark, at all.

However, the first hint of daylight, and I'm out! Funny though, I do ride my bike in the dark. rolling on the floor laughing
I admire early morning people, but I don't know how you do it laugh I'm a late night owl.
