Exploring a new music genre.
I am very much a heavy metal fan. Usually, that's the only genre I listen to most of the time, but there are some breaks where I put on some country music. But I felt like exploring a new genre: Rap! Or hip hop, to be broader.
So I put on the most popular female artist at the moment: Cardi B, and her newest album, Invasion of Privacy. So far it's a mix of "straight fire", as they say, and deep, personal songs. But is it an artist that I will become a fan of? Maybe.
She definitely has the catchy songs. One of them is "I Like It", even though it's a song about money and ex boyfriends. Most of her songs are about how rich she is, and how much money she earns. Usually I stay away from that type of music, but in this case, I am giving it a chance.
This isn't the first time I have explored rap, though. I listened to Drake's new album a few weeks ago, and it didn't do anything for me. I found it extremely boring, if I am honest.
But Cardi B has some home runs on her new album, for sure.
I will still be a metal fan, though.

Yes, I know, it's my problem.
My adventure started with rock & roll and I ventured into blues
with the discovery of B.B. King
Later I went further along and discovered Return to Forever which led me to jazz.
I went in the direction of more musical complexity & virtuosity.
Perhaps you are headed in the opposite direction, where there isn't even a melody,
approaching the very border interface of music, or not.
Regardless, find whatever you enjoy most.
