Some guy called Obama
I looked wistfully back at March 2016 and guess what, there were 3 - only THREE - political blogs on this international singles website. One about Japan, the other 2 by a nutter were demanding changes in the US. That blogger's profile is shown as deleted, but the anger and wild wording is remarkably similar to a 'new' blogger currently showering us with violent opinions and multiple exclamation marks. We've heard more (often foam-flecked) about this guy Obama since the other guy took over than in all the years of his administration. why do the new lot feel so irrationally threatened? Actually, don't tell me.I'll go read a blog if I ever get interested enough to care. Certainly plenty to choose from. Three years ago, 3 political blogs on TWO screens. Just on our first screen on an
international
singles
website
there are 16 political blogs about the USA. Overkill.
More to the point, though, spotted a few names back then who are MIA, does anyone have good news about Dedovix, Catfoot, Vikingson, Jarred, Abby, GoldenGloss, Ccincy, Unlaoised, Pedal, Ed1941? I know Chrome is getting married, Mapmaker I wish would come back occasionally even if he is violently allergic to US politics, and oh we miss you Pat8lanips. If it is just the political thing keeping you lot away, we can raise a petition or something.
(There were others who I do know have reappeared under new profiles since 2016 eg Dreamcatcher )

But as I said before, where are all Muslims, that was before.....where are Blacks that was before.......but also, where are the bloggers, that had more reality and real knowledge
I believe the prognosis for this site, the way it's heading is, terminal unfortunately....at least as far as the forums and blogs go.
We've been consumed and saturated with politics, American, most notably.
....and the discussions within them are not always pleasant.
Hardly a fun environment to be around, as the political rows tend to permeate other threads and blogs.
If you're starting a petition to place the wannabe politicians elsewhere on the site, can you please place me on that list.
Cheers......
There are lots of fun people missing from CS unfortunately.
This is one of the reasons why I've switched to the forums lately.
At least we can chat and have a bit of fun.
I've met some lovely people there
Btw..Dedovix is also spending his time there under the name of Lemun..
Pedal? You know he's got someone (Lisa)?
Don't know about Parsnips??
Snookie...is now Smiles...being very active on the forums.
GG...last time she said she had enough..maybe having a break?
Us plebs can do nothing about it except whinge. I used to look forward to logging in before. Now I do it more out of habit, and then have a meh moment when I'm in.
They should insist that all political blogs are posted into the national forums.
And on the international forums, posters should be limited to one a week. There are two or 3 multi-posters who have totally taken over.
When rotten trees are felled, diverse new plants sprout in its place.
And regarding the number of blogs or threads per blogger should be limited.
Glad to hear about Dedovix, I did know about Pedal and Lisa but haven't heard from them in yonks, would be fun to hear where they're at. Thanks for the updates!
Why not get back to topics of dating, love, fun and such things?
It does the heart and health good, makes more friends and makes this place worth looking forward to. Cool.
Oh, thanks for identifying yourself btw!
Bifffffffff
Chrome is getting married?!?
I like Chrome
Agreed on the one blog showing per blogger. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.
TRACK, THAT PIC
*hiding my eyes where are my shades *
You should probably be catching dreams but yay to have you visit
Yup thought you knew, I mentioned it on a blog a while back, got engaged just before Christmas, will be married sometime this year. They met on a blind date set up by friends, can you believe over 2 years ago already? He won't be coming back here, let's hope for their sakes!
Quality?, nah.. .. just "numbers " here.
Regarding the threads/blogs with more activity are the ones of lower quality content, with no substance, and no association with "dating" or meeting people.
numbers and message. thats the purpose
CS is not a site for debating, interacting with blogs/threads. CS is or has become a platform for some groups/members to promote an agenda, based on primary feelings , using "sensitivities, fears, insecurities, religion, politics”. They are not interested in discus any idea, besides the "message. almost like a cult. ..sure you notice how most cults aren't exactly hosts of spirited debate.
Cómo estás?
Yes, noticed this some time ago.
Take the politics on this site as an example. It's proved to be devisive, not just on social media sites, CS included,or in the US, but also globally now.
I notice some profiles on here, stating if you're a liberal, you're not worthy of having a relationship with.
Pre-Trump days, here in NZ, national political preferences never really factored in a potential relationship. People got together regardless of their political taste.
Now we kiwis often speak of being either pro-Trump or anti-Trump.
My son's first day this year, back in high school, with his Geography Teacher:: she stated she is pro-Trump and would not be discussing global warming with any student at any time throughout the year, as it doesn't exist! What the?
The cult status is glaringly obvious on here.
I did murmur something in the forums, many moons ago.....that politics should be taken back to their national forums. I was labelled a whinger......
I prophesised(excuse me stealing your thunder Stringman) then, there would only be the political hecklers left on this site to rip into, before long.
It seems we're well on that path now.
Yes, I know it's Badly Drawn!

123Butterflies...
I miss Butters - delightfully & creatively profane lady ...
I had that idea too, Soc.
The glitch -
Should a commenter simply not like a current blog he/she could knock it off page 1 by throwing a comment on one of the bloggers old blogs.
The blogger could (likely WOULD) then comment on the disliked blog to bring IT back ad infinitum. Hence - a chaotic mess.
Like that time crazy posted like a dozen blogs & folks were bumping 'em up to 1st place, only with the proposed system all sorts of blogs could be appearing & disappearing.
It'd be blogland equivalent of a house of mirrors.
A great idea.
Right up to the point where it wouldn't work
When a blog ceases to elicit comments it slips into Page 2 oblivion
The blogger then has the choice of letting it go, or repeatedly commenting on his/her own blog....talking to him/herself & looking silly.
Not that it matters; no one views/comments on such a blog...it having become silly, you understand.
If the blogger was discouraged by being ignored, the one or two comments most of them generate, that would be cool. They just write another. And another. Which is also cool if one sparks interest and comments, if it is the only one showing. The fascinated can go look for one from the genius blogger to pop to the top. The turnover could be endless and no visitor could fail to realize there is a kindred spirit around.
Nope
Under the old system commenting on a blog did NOT bring it back to the top of the list. It and the new comment remained in Page 2 oblivion...and beyond
It thus made no sense whatever to post a comment on a blog somewhere on, let us say, Page 36 because NO ONE - not even the blogger - would ever see or care about it..because it REMAINED on Page 36.
When one thinks 'bout it - it essentially defeated any purpose of HAVING more than one page of blogs - two at the very most.

Having Butters in one's political blog posse. DAYUM!
So yeah someone who wanted to bounce a political blog off the top could go hunt through that blogger's list for an unexceptional or interesting one and bounce that up
Could get lively
BTW -
My memory is PHENOMENAL
Greater than total recall...Yes. REALLY!
I can sometimes remember - in precise detail - things that never happened!
I still stand by that statement.
