Sheesh, she didn't even give him the number for the Samaritans?? It isn't a doctor's role to talk someone down, but there are people who are trained to do it and I would have thought the Surgery would have all the contacts necessary.

Scandinavia are believed to have the best healthcare in the World and on top of that are Finland, that are coming up everywhere as a model of a developed social system....even some Leaders fro US Dem's are coming up with Finland as a good model for future system in USA.
I was 8 month in Finland in 2017 and the meaning was to get help from a bad Black Mold affection and I faced then the developed Finnish system from inside.....first of all, they had no system to check the chemicals of black mold in the body.....the first Doctor said, that I have only little bacteria in my nose and that salt water is enough from that.

I then went to the next Doctor, who did not see anything either, but my Son ask me to ask for a check of jest, as it is normal, that when black mold affect you, jest is coming easily after that.......so the Doctor accept the test, as I had told, that my Son are a medical scientist.......the woman in the lab look at my tong and said, it is completely grey, it looks very strange......so the test show, that I had heavy jest.

The Doctor gave me pills for it and ask me to come again, if it is not working enough.....the pills was to weak and I had to meet the Doctor again and paying second time for that......now she had to give me extra strong medication, as the jest had take over, when the earlier pills was too weak......now it was working, but after too meetings with the Doctor and double pills.

When you meet a Doctor in Finland, you are given 10 minutes and you have to be exact on time, because if you are 5 minutes late, you have only 5 minutes left and 10 minutes late, then you have to ask for a new time, getting it sometimes 1 week later.....so if you are older and your mind is slow and your memory not so good, you don't get out all the problems to the Doctor and the Doctors opinion are, that you have no real problems.

When there was still some problems, I went to a specialist and when I asked about different testing methods, that my Son knew they had in Canada, the Finnish Doctor put up her hands and admitted, that Finland did not had these testings.

As my Daughter still live in Finland, I have seen how frustrated she is with the Doctors and the Healthcare over all, so my experience was not unusual, it was just normal.

In the 28 years, I have stay in Antigua, every single time, when I have had what ever problems, it have been one single meeting with the Doctor and one medication only.....and I have been cured 100%.......my Daughter confirmed the same, she have got help for problems here in Antigua, when she was still living here, or on visit and 100% cure in one time.

In the Finnish healthcare, you are not a Human anymore, you are a product on the belt in a factory.....and you don't know if you should laugh or cry, when you see, how a mini developing Country like Antigua, is take care of your sickness in one sweep and a developed Country like Finland, that is priced high in healthcare, can not handle a simple sickness almost at all.......so you really start to question, where is that developed system taking us Humans

All of what you say SA but nurses these days are becoming less caring more judgemental some even have Xray eyes these days.
