Are You Listening, Borty??

Once upon a time, on another, er, permissive website, a character who professed to a certain fetish posted occasionally, sharing his travels and travails with a somewhat captive audience. Just out of curiosity, I did a quick web search, and found this article:

The old boy always has something interesting to say. I wonder if he might be lurking about?? nerd

Ah yes good ole Borty! One of my favorites over there.

As I recall his health was not so good... not going to speculate beyond that, but there may have been something even worse.
I remember that. He mentioned his diagnosis, but then got very quiet when the trolls tore him a new one--over...and over....and OVER....
I believe he dropped out due to lymph-node cancer and returned after successful treatments.

xquseme, I cannot remember the the time span, but I must have been a member at MD more than 15 years and I didn't go to AMD.
I started at AMD in about 2005, and switched to the "vanilla site" when AMD closed. For a long time I rarely commented, as I wasn't acknowledged by the regulars very often, but I eventually blended in.

Lots of people complained about MD being too political, but that wasn't the case at AMD. If you could bear the off-color nature of AMD, that was the fun place to be!
I also remember blogs by 'Fender'. They were very clever.
I don't remember Fender. She must've come and gone before I made it to MD.

AMD and this site have one thing in common with MD in that there's lots of talk, but very little action. That is,
you're more likely to meet someone in real life than on the boards here, or the other two sites. Especially at AMD, not much was going to happen in the first place, due to the seedy nature of the site's goals. Additionally, the long distances between members, together with the relatively low numbers of members, prevented much success in finding a suitable match anywhere close.

The fun (for me, anyway) was always reading (and sometimes participating in) the banter, and checking out the quirky senses of humor. That's where Borty came in. He presented such an odd character, but it was obviously tongue-in-cheek.
Fender's playground was MD. Her 'real' blogs were on another site and if I recall, the readers didn't have the opportunity to post comments. If you emailed the OP a question they could reply via blog.
Huh. This probably isn't Borty, but it may be a couple of his cohorts/accomplices:

Ya just never know...!!
Well I'm not Borty but I am listening and all I'm hearing is you crew is jinked uh oh
" excluding Fay that is" ....

Seems to me which ever site your on, it goes belly up roll eyes

telltale signs are showing CS will be next uh oh

oh well" I did say it once upon a time ... did I not roll eyes
Huh. Don't blame ME!! I've hardly participated here at ALL!

Maybe the old regulars should participate here...a little MORE...if they want the site to survive. roll eyes
Just sayin'....
