and the next helpful vetting steps might be looking at blogs, even before chats, and certainly ahead of meetings. CS is great, but as with other sites, the categorical choices for informing others of who we are may not always be useful. 'Social smoking' can represent a butt, not inhaled, a few times weekly---perhaps actually to fit in socially. Or a severe addiction to tobacco. How about 'curvy'? These are merely two examples.

Several of the bloggers have met up over the years, not just one-on-one, in groups. In fact the bigger the group, possibly, the better grin
I've found that dating a blogger can be a double-edge sword.
It's great to know more about the person via blogs and blog comments.
Should something not work with the relationship, scorn becomes the topic of a future blog.

Yes, Biff, sounds like a decent thing to have done. And safety in numbers, no? Well, C, the possible helpfulness of using prospects' blogs to help decide on possible matches, like all things in life, can backfire. Perhaps such use should be accompanied by using lots of other info---CS provides much of this. But finally, at least for me, vetting brings chatting which leads to texting/skyping/and phone talks---ultimately onto meetings. I'm still searching, after a few years, and a number of fun but ultimately dead end rendezvous. CS continues to be a tiny, but enjoyable part of me, which who knows, may someday lead to grander things. Should we throw out the infant with the bath water?
