So yes, the mustache is returning

I mean why not. True the women say it tickles too much, but until I find one to play with, why worry about that?

Today is a gorgeous day. Too nice to sit inside all day. I haven't been out in the back area for awhile. So I grabbed my old 1863 Sharps conversion carbine and went exploring on my lands. Nothing worthy of the .50-70 was spotted this time. Maybe later..

I like your mustache, good looking man.
Hi Ken
It doesn't look a torn T-shirt you're wearing... It's too neat. hmmm
Oh btw, can I borrow that gun of yours? I think I need one to scare the cats. laugh
When a T shirt tears, the thing to do is wash and iron it, then wear it some more.
I mean the tear is like made on purpose, Ken. It looks neatly sewn..
The M230 Chain Gun has some snot reading some key findings. big clip and a fast finish. Tare down would be systems checking configuration. Didn't know that protocol. Big advancements from standard primer black powder.Your collection at least a few are rare. Some early History with finders fee.The Military has a laser that saves money 99 cents per shot. They have been Brag-in about it.
M230 is the helicopter thingie. Electric primers. GAO did a good job of dissecting it. Mechanical electric nightmare. Mind you the M242 / M38 is also a maintenance nightmare. Both require crews for maintenance. 3 persons for the recoil mechanism, two for the feed. Specialists all. Assemblies and sub assemblies, then sub assemblies inside those. Over 1,000 parts. Fixing a chain gun is more like doing a modern transmission repair than anything else. Complete with little micro switch sensors that loosen and have to be resistance checked with an ohm meter. Not to mention radiological testing of the barrel if you think M919 rounds have been fired through it. Yada, yada. Very nice when it is all working though.

Yes, I can go rare.
