Train a child in the way he should grow and he shall not depart from it .

I remember when I was younger only once you were spoken to , as regards discipline .
"Manners maketh Man"...

Thank you for a decent blog!
Hello flyme 1 wave Manners, good topic, I was always taught manners are respectful, and showing respect brings respect. I know growing up, if I didn t mind my manners, I d get a little swat up side the back of the head, I sure remembered my manners, yay
As for the todays 20 to 30 yrs olds, I figure they re too busy in todays technology ,to remember manners.
people are no different than ever its these phones has everybody rude and self centered I get fed up of everyone on them .I have one as well but I try and keep it shut most times .is like no one wants to talk no more maybe its me
The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise.

Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers.

yup, manners skipped few generations...
Manners, we better show respect if not we would be punished when we got home.crying
I will tell you where a lot of disrespect formulated. After WWII I re-enrolled in college, I had one semester before Pearl Harbor, I was on the GI Bill Of Rights as were a number of other x- GIs, I heard any number of them remark to this effect , " I've had to take orders for the past 3 (4) years an by God I'm not taking orders from anyone again ". What would you expect of a child who was brought up in such an atmosphere ? It has been passed on from one generation to another. studecar professor
