Never again
I watched few news clips and felt à sense of sadness in my heart. One in particular. An old veteran very emotional. I thought for a bit. Will they ever forget the horrors of war? Those who fought, those who gave their lives, those whose lives changed for ever. I bow to you all, whom we owe our freedom to.
Thank you.!
And pray that we will never see such horror ever.

Like you, I am very thankful to those men and women who gave their lives for our freedom!
Absolutely. And praying is well and good, but acting in a way that seeks to maintain our freedoms, too. We are in a new age. Where the battles (and attempted propaganda and subversion of speech) are being played out across different mediums (many of them online). We have to ensure a fair playing field, with real transparency regards how these tech giants act, and a fair accessible market for would-be competitors in the digital space.
Acknowledgement is due the Russians on the Eastern Front where 75% of the Wehrmacht was destroyed prior to D Day.

He saw lot of battle action, injured twice, was honored with many medals. I truly appreciated him and all army soldiers more so after seeing the movie, Saving Private Ryan, at the movie theatre with all its sounds and graphic scenes.
And that, as disturbing scenes as it was, was just a movie. I can’t even imagine what soldiers actually experience in action. I sincerely and proudly salute them all.
We are now prisoners of our own devices that Apple sells, more than prisoners of our own devises.
He had no choice but to join. One story he shared...and this was by no means the worst of the worst I am sure (he alluded to some absolutely horrible situations)...but he said him and his team had to jump out of helicopters and catch tops of trees....then climb down them.
I don't think anyone really wins with war, unless you are making money from it and that is your only concern.
....agree with you...hopefully we will never see such horror ever.
But...unfortunately, there are still stories in today's news...from what I hear...in Sudan.
Sad stuff.
Will check the video later. Thanks.
Sudan, is a long suffering nation.
Then there is Yemen. No one talks about that war.
Unfortunately war is money.
The horrors never fade.
The saddest thing Eva

Welcome to blogs Butcher.
China and Russia did not participate in D day.
TRUMAN in 1941 stated “if we see that Germany is winning, we ought to help Russia, and if Russia is winning, we ought to help Germany, and that way let them kill as many as possible.”
Putin has become very dangerous and hostile to Europe and the United States.
It is still known as "The Great Patriotic Softening"!
They didn't got into the Game until August 1945,when they declared War on Japan!
