I rarely lose things...

but, I've been known to misplace things... for years.
The proof is moving and digging through parts of my house that I haven't been through in a while. Tools, old technology is mostly what I've found.
I'm still looking for an electronic artist's touch tablet that connects to a computer. I found the box and the wireless mouse, but not the tablet.

Many years ago I lost a set of car keys and after hunting everywhere I couldn't find them and it was a car where if you had dropped the keys in the boot and shut it I would have been locked out.

A few years late I put on a pair of trousers on which I often have on and found a set of keys in the pocket and found it was the missing set and then I discovered I had two identical pairs of trousers and in all that time I only had warn the one pair.
Oh man can I relate, especially when I moved.
The positive side of physically moving - finding things, that you've 'misplaces'.
I hope you find that tablet and other things, that you'd like to get back.

"So, that's where I put that....." laugh
Some of the "cool things" I bought no longer work, like the digital display on a handheld 2-way radio.
I'm sure that was $400.
Digital cameras? I have 3 of those.
Hopefully, you'll find some things that go UP in value with time.
Perhaps some stock certificates, that you forgot about.

"Oh yeah, I did buy Apple several decades ago !" banana laugh
I too rarely loose things, I would buy stuff, and put them in a certain place, until I need or want to use them, then forget about them. Some months later, I would remember that I have them, and wonder where they have disappeared to, as I don't recall having used them. That is, until my daughter moved to the northern part of Sweden last december and decided, to leave some stuff at my place. Since the room was utidy with boxes all over, I asked her permission to pack them in some see through IKEA plastic boxes. Lo and behold, I found lots of stuff that I have been missing over the years (a few months ago, she even took my kitchen scale with her), all she did was laugh when I asked why she didn't ask before taking my stuff. She's staying with me now all summer, so I'm wonderiing what will go missing when she leaves. I keep threatening to call the police if she doesn't stop, but she knows I'll never od that
