Snow!

So, I woke up, look at my garden and see this:

Snow in June July! Of course, living on the opposite side of the planet this is normal. Oh well, I've been stuck in my home since last saturday because we had the yearly super duper snow that makes the whole place frozen for weeks, with -10ºC temps and lower.

So I was thinking I should get back to blogging, or something else.

PS: Yes, we have Xmas in summertime! cheers

How are things going up there? I see you're from the UK. I lived meself for a while in Southampton. Lovely town. Would like to go back sometime!

Hi Fay, no summers are very mild here; the only heat comes from the altitude, which is only around 1000 metres, but the sun does sting very hard. However you move to the shade and you freeze! We have a two month summer then permanent autumn/winter.

I was a commercial fisherman on a trawler and we only hit the open ocean in winter, storms, snow, ice, wind, waves, even once our hundred foot long three story iron boat went completely underwater through a huge wave, and I thought I was going to die.. lol... I would have on my Oiler pants, gloves, boots, and a t short, steam coming off my shoulders and ice on my beard.. I can handle the cold... I can handle it all... but living with only two months of relative warmth and snow ten months out of the year, naw, I’ll take the commercial fishing in winter and take spring and summer off with my feet up in a hammock or chasing tail at the beach.., lol... sound miserable down there bro.
