What’s Happening In The US Of A?
Yesterday, in yet another mass shooting, at least 10 people were killed with 16 more injured in a bar. One suspect died in the shootout. The investigation continues.It is only August and 251 mass shootings have occurred in 2019 so far. This resulted in 1,032 people being shot. Of those people, 180 have died. For the purpose of this blog, a mass shooting is defined as a shooting where at least four people were shot.
Living in a country where things are rather rough, I think I can more or less identify with the problems that come with violence of this nature but it is the magnitude of it that disturbs me. What I see is a lot of angry people and I wonder what it is that enrage them.
One might argue that, given the population of the USA, it is a small percentage but I wonder how the Americans feel about it.
My most sincere condolences to the victims and their relatives.

My country people cant possess gun. But still so many people down everyday by Traffic accidents and sickness. So everywhere people are suffer from the dead and lost of family.
I hope that the world will be better day by day and human will less be anger and maybe should eat vegan food to reduce the ferocious.

that's good and well but you cannot buy AK47s legally and yet, they are often used in armed robberies. I don't think it is the 'legal' guns that is the problem.
I think you're getting closer to the answer. Methinks that the criminals have too many rights while the victims are treated like criminals. I believe that people have the right to defend themselves.
hmm, I cannot find such stats but do you perhaps know what percentage of the shootings is committed by 'hombres'? When I look through the names I see a lot of non-hombre names.

People die every day. That is the way we all go but we don't want people to die before their time. Having guns or no guns, people with murderous intend will kill. After all, it is a human hand that uses the gun.
Those are the real victims.

That is what boggles my mind. Why blame Trump? He's trying to stop it. Those very people who blame him should support him because it is their tax money that is being squandered on illegal immigrants.
That is what they did here. You had to do a course to retain your firearm. If you fail the test you don't get a license. Simple as that. But I say again. It never was the licensed guns that caused the trouble here.
It is an issue that will not be resolved easily; not with where they are looking for the problem. It is not guns that kill people. It is people who kill people. Take the guns away and the killing will continue.
Although the proverb has a slightly different meaning, it actually applies here in its literal form: "If you want to beat a dog, you will always find a stick."
The reasons behind the killings must be addressed.

But it is not always that easy. There was small incident the other day here in the neighborhood when a child misbehaved very badly due to just that. He was tot taught about what's right and what's wrong.

Yep, so it is. Over here the kids burn the schools because there are not enough classrooms. Adults burn down new government houses because there is not enough for everybody. The general mentality is: If I cannot have it then you wont have it either. And tomorrow that same arsonists goes on strike because there is not enough housing.
