Research vs Propaganda
All the people on our planet can be divided into two groups. There are those who will believe everything that researchers say and those who know that researchers will say anything to please their sponsors. That is the only way for them to stay in the game. You keep the sponsors happy.Likewise, you get two kinds of researchers; no matter what field they’re in. Firstly you get the researcher who is funded to find the truth. He does not set out to prove anything. He collects the evidence and will not reach early conclusions. When he’s done, he will look at all the evidence that is available and base his interpretations on that. He was hired to find the truth and he tried to do just that.
Then there is the researcher who is funded to prove or disprove something. He will twist or shape even the most insignificant finds into evidence to prove his point while he will ignore – and even suppress – anything that would defy his purpose; no matter how conclusive that evidence may be. He was not funded to prove the opposite and it would be financial suicide to submit a negative report to his financier.
Then how do we know the difference? Who do we believe? Well, look at the sponsor; see what interest he may have in the outcome of the exercise. What does he stand to gain or lose by the outcome?
But this kind of selective evidence gathering is not confined to scientific research. We get it in almost every industry from archaeology to simple market surveys, and nowhere is it more prominent than in the news media. Just listen to how different an Arab TV station and an Israeli TV station will describe the same bombing incident; one would think they’re talking about different events. Once again it is a matter of who pays the wages.
So, a little advice from me; don’t believe everything that researchers say. First, look at who’s to gain or lose by the outcome and who is funding the venture. It goes about big bucks for the sponsor and is the bread and butter of the researchers.
As usually, you don't have to pay me for this valuable advice. I render it as a free service in order to promote a better understanding of data
Just go out and do it today; whatever!

If it is in 1000s I know it is not a fair representation of 7 billion.
Thank you Cat. I am going to eat some LDL and enjoy it.
However, when one looks at the actual data, the truth is revealed in that data, unless not enough research was done, or the results are inconclusive. However, that also is revealed in the data itself. Unfortunately, the average person has no idea how to critically interpret data. Indeed, some even have difficulty understanding an explanation of the data.
Of course, there are others who don't want accept the results and others who make up data. Both of those types are simply dishonest to themselves and others.
Regardless, in most cases the truth eventually emerges.
Those who understand binary and those who don't.
By the way, 31 Oct = 25 Dec.
Therefore Halloween = Christmas

It is near impossible to be a truly healthy eater unless one gets off the grid and goes back to natural. Nothing natural in our stores anymore.
Partly yes, but more like selective and manipulated reporting.
Eish!! You yanks and the presidents you love to hate.
You should never have told him about this.
It was also as Albert Speer said; it was the first war with such high technology. Goebbels' propaganda machine had new modern innovations like radio and gramophone. Goebel made the best use of it. Even made 78 RPM vinyls of important speeches to be broadcasted.
I'm working on something that will put a few people off fast doods.
It all depends on how ethical the research is. Unfortunately for most people, it can be difficult to find out all the facts.
One example of where people are constantly caught in the middle of the confusion is with vaccinations for children. There is so much scaremongering going on on both sides of the argument, that people are genuinely confused and scared. They want to do right by their child, but don't know what right is anymore.
I also do myself research things I'm interested in or thinking of using, from more than one source.
If I think it's a good thing or at least not harmful, I'll just try it.
Thank you but it was not meant to be so. I'm heckling with somebody who had not been active for a while but I'm sure he saw this. Well, I hope he did.
Research is vital... but it should be honest.
It is crazy. We're supposed to be in the information age but what good is information if you cannot trust it.
And a very good morning to you too.
