Different shifts at work!

The other day, my phone buzzed.

"Call the office", it said. I waited until my break to give them a call. When I called, the voice on the other end of the phone said "Starting Thursday, your times have changed. You now start at 10 am and finish at 6 pm, Friday you finish at 5.30 pm. It's the same next week as well".

When they said that, I just went "Yes, please. I'll do that!"

So now my shift starts at 10 am instead of 7 am. Some might find it nice, and I would feel that, if not for the fact that I wake up at 5 am like clockwork, every day. I am so used to wake up at 5 am already, that my body has adjusted itself for that time. It doesn't matter if I sleep 10 hours or 5 hours - I always wake up at 5 am. Then I can get some things done, like having a proper breakfast, play some Watch_Dogs_2 and make my lunch. I am always early. 30 minutes minimum, which I spend talking to my coworkers and getting the lay of the land. What needs to be done and so on.

It also gives me the time to talk to one of the new starts there, a girl from Sweden. She is going through a bit of a struggle at the moment, so I am just helping her any way that I can. Making her focus on other things, like funny videos and stuff not related to her struggle. 9 times out of 10 it goes well. She's laughing and smiling, which is amazing to see.

It's actually been a while since I have heard from R. Her suitcase and her plants are still here, and I am assuming that she is going to pick them up at SOME point. If not, I will just mail the suitcase to her, and let her pick up the plants whenever she wants to. It seems like her and I are drifting apart. We used to be so close, now we barely talk. It's strange how things work out. Maybe it's for the best that we don't talk as much. Maybe she just needs time to think. The last I heard, was that she was working 60 hour weeks, so she might just be very tired. I dunno, something's off.

Speaking of something's off.. Remember that guy I talked about a while ago? The guy who was sent away to put stickers on things? Well, he apparently had his last day on Friday, so he will not be there tomorrow. The joy of that is something I can not describe! That means, that I will not be talked to like a child any more, which is fantastic! It wasn't just me he talked to like that. Everyone got the same tone of voice from that guy.

I think I will write a message to R, and hear where we stand. I need to know that me and her are alright.
