People laughing way too loudly.....

...again and a gain, in a public venue, while I'm trying to work on writing and Portuguese. One of my pet peeves, for which I've had more than one NY's resolution. And I'm actually making progress. Using ear buds, self trance, etc. But am I the only such intolerant huperson in God's lovely creation? I know one thing,.whenever I had a meeting with such a lady, who might have otherwise been a decent match, ---first and last meeting. No doubt. H E L P !

I imagine if I was working on writing and Portugese, I'd choose a quiet place like a library or in the garden. Similarly, if I was planning on having a few drinks and a laugh or whatever, the library would not be my chosen venue.

OK, so in a roundabout way, you're admitting you are choosing the wrong venue to expect complete silence while you complete your masterpiece...
Maybe try the saloon in a western movie, where the piano player stops just before the gunfight, but instead just go to the next bar before the gunfight starts and enjoy the piano player stopping there too.
Geez, it seems so easy solving the Americans problems for them.
