coronavirus
"The last time the world heard about a coronavirus outbreak in China, in early 2003, it ended up spreading to more than two dozen countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia, sickening about 8,000 people and killing almost 800."800 doesn't sound like a lot, given the total number or people populating the earth. BUT ... the 1918 influenza pandemic is estimated to have killed "about 500 million people or one-third of the world’s population became infected with this virus. The number of deaths was estimated to be at least 50 million worldwide with about 675,000 occurring in the United States."
Given the current distrust of vaccines and science research, coronavirus could well become the next global pandemic.

So far, everybody who has had it has come directly from that region of China. It hasn't spread to others.
Plus, those who have died have had other pre-existing complications as well- respiratory disorders, etc.
Sue me.
My way of not ignoring it was to walk in the opposite side of the road to any Chinese people I saw coming towards me yesterday
Just avoid China at the moment
I did google it and did not realize that it was not new at all but just a variation of zars.
Anyway I take care of myself best I can but cannot hide, even thinking of getting a mask incase it hits our town. Very serious I think but reckon one can become over anxious so we make jest that's all
Or the trump one?
The latter seems to be propagating rapidly on CS and they're all dropping like flies!
