Is Bolshevik Bernie A Full On Marxist-Leninist Crypto-Communist

masquerading as a "Democratic Socialist"? wink
Is the Green New Deal a watermelon - Green on the outside & Red on the inside?

hmmm
It's unlikely in the extreme that 'Crats will brutally raise and address such questions during their upcoming Primary Race, but they should. They MUST!

Why?
If they fail to raise & address such questions in their Primaries and run Bern For Prez - they can be damned Certain the questions will be raised FOR 'em in the General Election devil

Some of The Don's early campaign ads suggest 'Publicans anticipate running against The Bern & are framing the Prez campaign as a Capitalism vs Socialism/Communism clash of Worldviews.

At least with Sanders its know up front whats on offer . The risky communists are the ones within a system working away to rot it . Comey and Clapper have been outed , it would be foolish to think they are the only ones .
personally, i wouldn't vote for someone i thought was going to croak anytime soon. he's kind of a dinosaur. my thoughts, who would be his VP.

If Election 2020 is going to become a Referendum on Capitalism vs Socialism/Communism embodied as The Don vs The Bern, it would be well for folks to familiarize themselves with the options from which they'll choose -

Sleepy Joe melts down very mad under devastating dust ball attack by The Bern ...

But we'll NEVER see The Don go after "Bolshevik" Bern flower Right? laugh

The Impeachment drew attention to Sleepy's Ukraine misadventures. He's kaput -

violin ... winepointing Subpoeña Colada.

So Bern MUST be considered a viable 'Crat Prez contender.
The "15% Chance" he's a Stalinist in Socialist clothing Will(!) be an issue.

At least 'til the DNC can figure how to get rid of him. Again.

Does that one really believe the Quatsch he is letting out?confused
What you have in America is support for the welfare state in the cities for the purpose of crime prevention and riot insurance.

However, if socialism works best anywhere it works in a village. It grows out of fellow-feeling and the community spirit, it rests on the trust that familiarity garners the greater chance of doing the right thing because it’s the right thing to do.

The cities are something else. The cities are so wildly individualistic that they begin to identify themselves as a unicorn whilst doing nothing for anybody else. The city is the pinnacle of ask what your country can do for you, not what you can do for your country.
Long story short diversity is about as pro-social as connectingsingles is. This practice of mixture is the death knoll to healthy close relationships with the people around you. There can be no socialism amongst the profoundly anti-social.
And it seems years away. Things like Trump raising wages at the bottom of society will indirectly make people care about climate change. Tighter borders will make altruism more plausible. If Trump succeeds this will make the left more electable eventually.

The thing is if you hire Americans based on merit the economy will work better and that will make people sensitive to issues they’re not right now. Money is the destroyer of social conservatism, and surplus is the basis for social progress.
Either way I think the democrats would be better off with someone like Tony Blair. You build a new centre ground that accepts the fact that Trump has happened. Already I don’t think people are quite as scared of immigrants as they were and its thanks liberals not being in power. The reason for being less defensive is because there are actually some defences, Brexit has lessened the siege mentality of the British Coronavirus aside.
Yes Blair. I think the leader of the left needs to have an element of Trump in the same way that Blair had a large element of Thatcher, I think he needs to have some charisma, and perhaps most importantly he needs to believe what he’s saying. Blair really believed in neoliberalism he was sincerely centrist for the 90s and 00s, and what you need is the same thing updated for the 2020s.
I heard someone say that politics is a civil war but this is tantamount to treason in my book. To have the country locked into a state of passive aggression a permanent civil war without the actual fighting can do no good for the duration.

The democrat needs to oppose that. Not particularly radical or bloodthirsty to capture the votes of the less politically obsessed, democrats need to be thinking about the lovely normal people and the candidates of moderation.
