"So" is the new "Um" and or "Ah"

As in many foods there has been and always will be fillers, the same as most languages, professor rolling on the floor laughing conversing

Some Irish folks put the "so" at the end of the sentence, which is pretty out there.

You could normally say... So, I had a nice day today. Or in Ireland they'd say... I had a nice day so.

Which makes no sense because it would be fine to say... Um, I had a nice day... or even Ah, I had a nice day.

But I had a nice day um, or I had a nice day ah, would make little sense.

Logically, if someone says I had a nice day so... The response would be- yeah so what?

Which implies a lack of concern/interest in most English speaking countries.

So, Um... Ah... You know, like, lol.
And for our Irish followers-

Um... Ah... You know, like, lol. So,
Pat, Pat, Pat.
After all these years, you still haven't mastered how to use the Irish so.
Shame on you.
Well, it could be worse. If it was shame on me so, I'd be devvo.
If it hadn't been grammatically incorrect, I'd have happily make you devvo.
Like what's wrong with like fillers? You mean like this? She seems like she'd be a very likable person, like.

Here in Cork, like is used a lot, like laugh
laugh Don't worry Molly, you'll always be like likable, like.hug
Thanks, like laugh

If ya ever go to court be sure it's not judge Judy and the word like rolling on the floor laughing
That is more the olde English usage.

It grieves me so.
"So" Molly, 'like" don't grieve "so" much laugh
None words that people use when they are nervous or have nothing to say.
'So' is a trending word. It took off like wildfire about 2 years ago in the financial media. Since then no-one....and I mean no-one, can answer a question without beginning with 'so.' Such herd mentality, such a pathetic desire to appear 'trendy.' It's the usual cheap m.o. of business speak, to kinda impress the audience that you are 'with it.' As a phrase, it will disappear as soon as the hoi polloi use it as nauseum. When everybody uses 'So' as a prefix to every sentence, it's time for investment fund managers to disown it and move on to the next incredibly cool, funky phrase.
It's also the new word to supersede the term, "In terms of", good cause that phrase is so 90's lol, thumbs up

Yet fillers only belong in upholstery banana
This word now sprouts wings with this new world that "LIVE"S IN US". Bentlee professor
