maybe....could it happen you think

What if this might be the Big One.

What would you do? For me, I really do not even want to think about it, but in reality if it is the Big One, should not there be some sort of plan in place? I just seen a show...well...the ending of the show anyway, where it interviewed two guys what they would do if a virus spread. Their solution was to move out to the woods. dunno

The big automobile manufacturers just closed their doors. They are letting prisoners out of prison. This, just within a week of this becoming the main news of the day. I remember when they were talking about Bidon and Bernie. lol It seems as if each day a new drastic measure is being taken.

I am assuming, each day this lasts, the worse it may become.

I have heard it said that what damage the virus don't do, panic may. So, I would say being in a panic is not a solution, but planning might be....

Is it possible the police force might not exist out of either fear of illness or out of illness itself?
The same with government?
The same with fuel supplies?
The same with television?
The same with telephones?
The same with internet?
The same with electricity?

How fragile have our lives really been? A good time for some introspection I suppose.

Panic is not a smart or good thing, but planning is.

Stay safe all....enjoy what we have taken for granted most if not all of our lives...and I suppose we can hope for the best out of all this.

Johnny, I don't know if he really predicted this.

I know you like these things. laugh

But the Last line is what we have to worry. World economy and how long it will take to recover.
They should put all the people with tattoos in jail, as a sensible precaution.
Well, obviously you wouldn't be in a mens jail...
You are right Usha...I did enjoy reading that. If true, as you mention...and the interpretation correct, well....enough said.

Thanks for sharing.

There was somebody else, from India, who told me about 4 months ago, that the next 6 months are going to be very interesting. She had heard it from a "seer" friend of hers...whom was trusted for his visions.

I found that statement interesting from her, and I have never forgot about it. What was really interesting about it, was a business man friend of mind told me that the head person at the bank he does business with was telling him that in the next 6 months things were going to be interesting. He told my friend that his bank was selling off loans for "toys" that customers bought....like atv vehicles and such. My friend asked me, when financial times become difficult, what are people going to default on first? Well...the toys of course. BTW, my friend told me all this about a month before I got that message from that lady in India.

Now look where we are.

hmmm uh oh
Pat and Palm, the likelihood of things completely falling apart....I would think is rather low.....if I were to keep an optimistic mindset. laugh

But, planning in case it does fall apart is not a bad thing. Toilet paper is nice right now, but just something as a fire in the middle of the woods might be more important down the road. dunno (according to that show anyway)

smart might not be bad either Viper. dunno comfort
I think John is right, somewhat of a survival plan, today having some moden camping gear is much nicer than 100 years ago trying to adapt. Nobody wants to go backwards I'm not Ive been keen to this outlook and well prepared for of the grid life style.
Worst case scenario Mark, one has some camping gear they could use down the road. thumbs up

Johnny I could consider that why not focus is on exploring, foraging, manual farming,
hand crafting, and living in harmony with nature...free air wine cheers
John right a car battery and Christmas lights and Solar panel is better that a party on the patio.laugh cheers
laugh Usha. This is only if things get out of hand. laugh Optimistically thinking, it won't. :) I am sure you will be fine.
Totally YSA! I have already ordered thousands of vegetable seeds from the internet. That would be fine to live off the land and such...

But...you and I might not have a harmful bone in our bodies....but what about those others who do? (not-optimistically thinking) :(

anyway. cheers
I thought about that Mark...solar panels. Maybe I should look into some smaller portable size ones. They are nice to have around when going camping, even if things don't take a dark path. thumbs up
John true just a cheap trickle charger for an Automobile keeps a battery full at peak. As I have seen Batteries still work years after failing to start your vehicle. They do supply current.
thumbs up

I just purchased two small portable solar panels.

I will use them one way or another...or just resell them.
Johnny, I think we can overcome Corona. Mankind survived worse when science and technology was less advanced than what it is now.

But I personally think it is time human kind go back to basics and fundamentals. Our advancements in technology has only made us less human. Less caring towards nature. We evolved without any spiritual evolving. I think Indians, aboriginal people and all the kinds of first people in every land, knew to take only what is needed from nature and give back something in return.

I am not in the mood to type anymore. I am hungry.
laugh
Usha, I think vanity, entitlement, and selfishness was certainly among the world today.

Be safe. hug
Good for you John check out y-tube vids on Smart battery box homemade or just buy a smart Marine battery box about 43.00 fit a deep cell battery in the box. Presto you have a portable power station. With Solarhandshake
sweet Mark...I am going to check it now. thumbs up
Pretty cool Mark. I do have some extra time on my hands these days. It might not be a bad idea to get something like that together. Thanks for sharing that.

thumbs up
Seriously, send in your profiles. I need to find a man urgently. I was never a girl scout.

interesting point Usha.

I think I mentioned this in one of my older blogs. In a technologically advanced world...one deemed safe and structured...a manly man is not really an asset. But in a world where chaos exists, a manly man might be an asset. dunno I just say this because of a thing I seen on FB before. Something that says, "to women, if you man don't know how to hunt, etc...etc...., you may want to trade him in"

I am sure the world won't get out of hand.

I am guessing that there is technology out there that we are clueless about that will keep civil order.
That Newport vessel one don't look too bad. That is what the guy was building on the video I watched..one to charge a cell phone, cigarette lighter, led lights, accessory posts.
uh oh

Johnny, I know your hunting skills already. You won't be shortlisted. tongue
I took 7th in a marksman contest a friend of mine puts on around here....if that counts for anything. laugh But, I have yet to ground anything that could have been put on the plate for food. But when push comes to shove, we have a lot of deer around here. reindeer
Also, maybe I've got some foreseeing like Nosetrodoomus, or however that name goes. Cause about a week before everyone started buying up all the toilet paper, I posted a blog about Bathroom Tissue.

Coincidence, or could it be the Twilight Zone.
Right here is my twilight zone --> beer
Robert,

I think most likely you are right. Did you have a blog last night? Oh yeah, I seen it earlier today and it was gone before I could comment. I bought like 30 movies I have not seen before. laugh And, I bought some new felt and rails for my pool table...and, I also had some left over inventory that was just sitting around. So, I think I have about a month's worth of interesting things to do before I start loosing my marbles. laugh

cheers
Ok John I don't want to take this blog and run with it but here is a good one. Was as low as 93.00 but went up now,
Embedded image from another site
with this you need at least 60 watt Solar panel with it if you are only recharging with sun.
7th out of 15 Usha...in case you were wondering. cowboy laugh
Did I have a blog last night? It's still there. doh

Oh well.

Anyways, I've got lots of streaming wi-fi or internet movies. But, I don't have a pool table. I don't have a horse shoes game, I don't have an Operation board game, I don't have darts, I don't have money, I don't have gas, I don't have food stamps, I don't have armpit deodorant.

But, hey, I can still check out the blogs! Cool, huh? cheers
That looks interesting Mark. Do you know the model number of that?
Robert, I don't know....one may not need any money in the near future. uh oh laugh

I am more of an old timer though. I have stupid VCR tapes and stupid DVD's....I am actually getting to the point where my DVD player is starting to take a pooh. :( You are setting well Robert. Don't you have a dog? I don't have that. You might be sitting pretty good there. You might have a legitimate reason to leave your home if the doors get locked up...they allow you to walk your dog. thumbs up Me, I will be lucky to see the sunlight through a window. mumbling
My neighbor says, he has to ask his wife before he uses the restroom, and he has to wipe the seat with bleach after he's done. Yikes!

I have a dog, he takes me for a walk every day. I've got a cassette player in my car, but I don't use it.

Nothing wrong with VHS tapes.. I got some at a yard sale one day, the guy told me to take four boxes of them free. But, they got caught out in the rain. doh
Okay Mark...I am finding some similar units. solar panel generator
John it would be on Amazon It would also have the store front. Search Suaoki in search bar takes you right to the link. It sold for about 156.00 and I would buy it. It is cheaper now/ But I bought the brother model this brand of power station was a cloud funded invention took off a few years ago on Kickstarter. I use mine cool
Totally YSA! I have already ordered thousands of vegetable seeds from the internet. That would be fine to live off the land and such...

But...you and I might not have a harmful bone in our bodies....but what about those others who do? (not-optimistically thinking) :(

I have planned that ahead of time already Johnny

thumbs up enough to accommodate in my wood cabin with my COVi Shack laugh wave
