Asian theme credenza...
I was asked to design a credenza with an Asian theme for a client. He liked it and was ready to place an order... then, changed his mind and decided to consult a decorator who worked for a furniture store. They came up with a floating shelf instead of the credenza.
I've been going through some hard drives used to archive drawings and images created over the years. This was one of my favorites.

BEFORE you made the effort to design something.
This was a feature area at the top of the stairs with mirror and decorative things around it. Only the credenza was in my scope. He needed to tie-in the other decorative pieces. That's when he contracted with the furniture store to do that area and other parts of the apartment.
My part got cut out of the deal. After, I heard he complained to the other trades and didn't pay all of his subcontractors. So, it was better for me not doing the work.
