Adidas Yeezy...

I don't follow Kanye West and I don't follow Adidas. It appears Kanye is connected to an Adidas model called Yeezy and from the Adidas website there is a waiting list for a new model of this style of athletic shoe scheduled to release this week. Must be a hot item.

Last week, an 18 year girl old arranged to sell 3 pairs of these shoes for $935.
She and her boyfriend met the buyers (2 boys) in an abandoned home in South Miami.
One boy asked to try on the shoes and the other pulled a gun striking the girl and and grazing her boyfriends arm.

The boyfriend drove the girl to the hospital where she later died from a gunshot injury.

Police identified the 2 boys from their social media accounts (probably how they made the connection in the first place) and they both confessed. Stated in the story, their intention was to steal the shoes.

The story also stated: "The two men face charges of second-degree murder, attempted murder and attempted armed robbery. They could face life in prison if convicted."

There is so much wrong with this that it makes my stomach turn.
The article is sketchy at best.
I'd like to know how the girl originally got the shoes.
She went to sell shoes and the boys went to steal shoes... at gunpoint.
It wasn't 'attempted murder and attempted armed robbery' the murder was factual and so was the robbery... success, not attempted.
Attempted is when you fail at something and go home empty handed.
They succeeded to get the shoes and the ONLY thing they lost in the transaction was a bullet.

That's over $310 per pair. Why they needed to meet in an abandoned house is a mystery. There are plenty of open spaces, including some with video surveillance to carry out a transaction like that. Basically, how the girl got the shoes may have been a factor why she agreed to meet secretly.

A girl lost her life over these:
