Who will save us?

We are living in very troubling times. We all know this because of the enlightening videos that numerous public spirited bloggers are constantly posting. I wouldn’t have known that God is thinking of incinerating us all in the near future because he is fed up with how we are carrying on. And who can blame him? I didn’t know about the millions of children that are being abducted and held captive in huge underground cities. I had no idea about all the Hollywood stars eating babies, at their satanic rituals. And what about the Chinese master plan to give all of us a very nasty cough so that they can take over the World? It just goes on and on, there seems no hope.

But wait, there could be someone who could put a stop to all this evil in the World. Just one man; a man who some even say God put among us to banish these evils. And who is that man? you cry. Well I’ll give you one fcuking guess. doh

It was written in the scriptures:verse 6 chapter 66 -
And so it will come to pass when the yellow heads and orange head shall work together to create something they cannot control due to their joint vapidness, a swarm of miniscule locusts shall terrorise the earth. It will especially affect cities like Gomorrah and New York due to their democratic leanings.
The saviour shall not come from mother earth, but from the the sea. The warm island sea of the south.
And so it shall be. Amen
Well said Mollystring...
There is always a clue in the video, and by the end you are left in no doubt who to vote for later this year.
You know Mr Bean is meant to have an IQ of 180? (or is that just an internet thing)?
Who will save us? There's a guy who often stands on a street corner in the city wearing old clothes and wild hair shouting stuff - he says he can do it. his name is Bob. Bob can save us. That's a relief.

Bless.
Lovecanbe, whats OCD?
But true what you say he does have a very IQ, you need only watch/listen to any of his interviews to believe he has, but oddly enough he himself does not find himself funny ... so much for his intelligence if he's not smart enough to know, he is confused JMO.

wave harb
me thinks even if a saviour were here no-one would recognise him....
people have become such fast movers/thinkers conversing
poor man would probably get ran over in rush hour

Sadly, ain't that the truth uncertain

Most IQ tests don't go that high, never mind scores.

Whilst Rowan Atkinson's history of accomplishments (including an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Oxford) would suggest a bias towards the combination of the mathematical, verbal and spatial reasoning ability necessary for a high IQ score, a score of 132 on the Stanford-Binet test, or 148 on the Cattell would put him in the top 10% who are eligible for Mensa membership.

Albert Einstein is estimated to have had a score of around 160 based upon his work, Baruch Spinoza and Immanuel Kant estimated at around 175.

Its possible that Atkinson has an IQ of this order, but it's also possible that it's an internet rumour. If he is that 'intelligent', I doubt that he's all that impressed with his own score. IQ tests aren't all they're cracked up to be given they test a limited range of skills and you can improve your score through practice, technique and increased knowledge.

I think perhaps his success as an entertainer is more reliant upon his emotional intelligence, although verbal reasoning and spatial manipulation skills are evident in his work.
Truth is, we don't actually know what IQ is. We might pretend to, have complicated ways of measuring and putting a number to it, but what are we actually measuring? There are autistic people who can memorise the phone book, but couldn't catch a bus. Kids that can do a rubix cube but dont know their 3 times table. Tribesman that speak several languages and can navigate by the stars, that cant read or write.

I think a lot of it is like the outdated Myers Briggs rubbish that was popular in the 70's, it makes the person marking the paper feel clever. But actually serves no purpose.

Miss Piggy for President!

She's a muppet, she's abusive, she really ought to be the second pig in office.
I'm not talking about Jesus, Celtic, I'm talking about Donald Trump. He's the reason behind all the lunatic videos. They are all designed to scare people senseless, and then they are told that only the orange moron can fix things. You won't believe this, Celtic, but some people are stupid enough to believe those videos.
Rowan Atkinson's IQ has nothing to do with the character he plays.
He could be a genius but still play a moron.
PS~ Sorry should have been 'I would have to agree with you there ' internment is beginning to show.blushing blushing
I know you weren't Harb, I was just pulling your leg hug
I don't watch/read anything about Trump, I'm neither hater or follower, besides, he's not leader of my country, so why should I.

My apologies for dropping Bean in here on you
seems the lights on him more so, your question conversing

But fret Not, I'll get my friend scotty to undo the damage I done idea

wink

gotta go
Alfred Binet's original goal in creating his IQ test was to help children learn and improve their skills. Party games like musical statues were introduced to school curricula to help improve co-ordination, spatial manipulation and reasoning skills. IQ tests were merely a means of measuring need and progress.

IQ tests have been widely misused. In the US they were at one time used as an entrance exam for newly arrived immigrants, but as they were culture specific their use has been criticised as a form of eugenics.

They were also used in the US to guide a sterilisation programme, those women falling below a certain score being operated on without their knowledge, or consent. There is an historical account of a woman who tried all her married life to have a family, but only found out that she had been sterilised (rather than having an appendectomy as she was told) when she developed appendicitis in later life.

The IQ test is a measure of many things, and so few, all at the same time.
Maybe you should run for President Harbal, you appear to be across everything conversing
Further concerning these tests. They claim to be the be all, and end all; and even can affect someone's self esteem (future employment) etc. However they only measure a part of the whole.....
The part they don't measure, can actually be more significant, as far as concerns, an individual's "intelligence"
I have to disagree with Pat about Meyer Briggs.
That is a useful tool. It is not a measure of intelligence. There is no right and wrong.
It is simply a useful tool to help you know your own personality type, and that of others. It is particularly useful in a work setting as once you understand how other people work, then it is easier to work with them. What you may have thought was a personality clash previously, can be now understood to be how they deal with things, especially in a group setting.
What is "success" anyway?
What is "perception"?
...and what is "reality"?
Meyer Brigg I still used to this day and very effective [as said]. It's good to know that some people who seem cold and distant, are not necessarily 'bad' people. Ditto the Thinker Feeler from the Questionaire test can seem to have meltdowns and be over sensitive but knowing that , and knowing they are Ok people makes for a more congenial and happy atmostphere at work, and therefore more productive and for interviews for certain jobs, certain personalities are better so it is still used by major American corporations here. I'm a thinker feeler so I guess over emotional at times surprise surprise but I have my place in the parts of the watch like everyone else. wine
Love Can be Real ~ I think different people have different answers to what success is. To me it is being happy in my skin. Feeling I am giving something back to the world, even if that is doing my best for the environment, it is not how much I have in the Bank anyway.
Don't know merc; although I've never seen a Church on Sundays (for non believers). Does that mean, (because we are correct), we therefore, have nothing to prove by continuous weekly meetings?
The mixture of all of the conspirarcy theories that abound on here and in the world and all of the news....and the way things keep changing provokes some to hunker down and for some to try to figure out this mess. We need a real hero...is this the time to come when a certain someone shall appear with the supposed answers or shall more domination really be the messaging.
BR I use to go to church & Sunday school..But when you see so much destruction and pain in ones life..You just shake your head and walk away..That's what I did..
The trick with meyers briggs, is to claim to be a time keeper. I don't know when this became apparent, I'm guessing about 1980. It's basically a way of sidestepping such nonsense. No wonder in a room of 30 people at least 29 will claim to be such.
All I know is when the world is how it should be I won't ever complain about anything ever again..

Don't hold me to that giggle
We can argue over what men and women are when we're Martians. Celebrate diversity when we have the technology to replicate completely on our own like a single-celled organism. What's weird about the future needs to be met with what's wonderful about it - it's not just revising Star Wars as a homage to strong woman.
The problem (if you ask me) started with the arrogance (in the Bible) which says that "man shall have dominion over the Earth, the plants, and animals" and it just got worse, from there. If we retained a belief in Nature, and the Sacred Feminine (as per the Celts, and many other such belief systems); then we may not be in the mess we are today. If you ask me, Christianity, has a lot to answer for...
To be honest Urban..I only ignored because we have mods here angel laugh
