What I've been up to

I've been spending a lot of my free time -of which I have quite a large
amount at the moment- messing about with a 3D modelling computer
programme. It also does animation. It isn't simple to use, in fact, it is
quite complicated and would probably require a college course to gain
proficiency. After much persistence I am starting to get to grips with the
basics.

This is a sample of my achievements so far. Providing I can manage to
upload it to the blog.

Fab sample.

I'm having trouble, Molly. What's the easiest way to put a short piece of video into the blog? confused
I think it has to be a YouTube video.
Well this is a link to an animation done with the same software. It is slightly more advanced than what I have produced.

It is actually quite entertaining, worth watching.

thumbs up
Thanks for the link!

Unless you have space on a private server to upload your video, you have to rely on vimeo or YouTube. Any others?
I'm trying to upload it to Youtube as we speak, chat. thumbs up
I don't know what I expected
But that was as entertaining as one of stringmans religious misquote videos

The highlight being at least it was short

How many hours did you waste creating that masterpiece?

All I can say is..........

sleep
I didn't post it to entertain anybody, Nice2, I just thought people would be interested in my doings. I know my animation isn't very sophisticated, but we all have to start somewhere. It took Walt Disney years to get anywhere, and look at him now. I don't mean literally, of course, I don't imagine he looks too good right now.
Har - Not being familiar with these types of things I imagine the programme requires quite a bit of understanding, study and experimentation to generate the simplest of animation - for some of us the joy is in the learning. Niavetomeetyou has got a BMW to look embarrassingly middle-aged cool in, though.
Please don't ever lose the want or be dissuaded from sharing your creativity or the process that manufactures it, as many of us enjoy and almost need to see others "at it" so as to keep ourselves motivated.thumbs up
I expect to be "at it" in one way or another for some time to come, Jig.
Harbal. We all need something to keep us busy with.
We do, indeed spl. The Devil finds work for idle hands devil just ask string.
Harb thumbs up thumbs up Good to see somebody is enjoying and doing something productive with their lockdown.
I particularly enjoyed Russia and North Korea. laugh
It makes a great change from Trump and Covid 19. Thanks.wine
Harb. Yep I guessed you didn't . It still is great to watch and It gave me a much needed lift. I loved the Russian general and what's his name from North Korea. I'm not Techy . Nice change from utube. thumbs up
Nice to see someone enjoying wasting their time.....

Is time spent in enjoyment wasted, Celtic? hmmm

Better ask the government, they're paying for it.

Thanks for the song, and don't forget, Celtic, I am always here to waste your time whenever you need me. hug
Sure is or should I say, it can be harb.....

Harb ~ Yes I did enjoy and you had a productive IT day. thumbs up
If I have ever let you down, Celtic, I hope there will be an opportunity at some time in the future for me to make up for it. I am very reliable in a haphazard sort of way. wine
