If nothing else, it might reduce headaches and take care of some of the clotting.
Both good things.
However, I don't think the main cause of death is blood clots in most cases.
I think it's more necrosis of the lung tissue and a build up of fluids in the lungs,
essentially drowning the individual. A suction tube into the lungs might remove some of that fluid. But the necrosis of the lung tissue is another matter.
Research done some time ago in Canada indicates Low Dose Aspirin (81 mg) may be EQUALLY EFFECTIVE , safer, more convenient & less costly.
Plavix for a year after my Bypass-surgery,in addition to the Aspirin!
Seems Aspirin apparently has Inflammation-reducing properties and somehow prevents inflammation in the Arteries, thus less damage and Plaque-buildup!
Hematomas are something to behold, though if you bump into a door or so!
Blood thinner.........
Tomorrow there will be new info....
We just need to go with the flow and keep safe.
In summary, the early use of aspirin in covid-19 patients, which has the effects of inhibiting virus replication, anti-platelet aggregation, anti-inflammatory and anti-lung injury, is expected to reduce the incidence of severe and critical patients, shorten the length of hospital duration and reduce the incidence of cardiovascular complications.
MORE! @
If folks got it into their heads that Aspirin was like Covid immunity, they might do unwise things ... "If One baby aspirin/day is Good, 2 full strength Aspirin 3×/day Must be BETTER!"
It happens.
I shared this info with someone who was on the 1 baby Aspirin/day regimen.
He took it upon himself to up it to 2/day. - That's not much to get concerned about.
But others would be less judicious.
Aspirin is more potent than folks realize.
I've heard it claimed that if it was developed Today it'd be a prescription only drug.
Maybe so.
Aspirin labels used to give dosages
Modern labels may give NO recommended dosage, but say - "Use as directed by a physician or health care professional".
Good advice, Merc
Especially regarding the sugar. I've not heard that, but will look into it.
I've been ahead of That curve my whole life - I've Never had much of a sweet tooth

Never ever ever take aspirin as a blood thinner unless given the go ahead by your doctor...Also Aspirin eventually wreaks havoc with the liver..Best to take a coated pill that has a coating. like Cartier if given the go ahead BY A DOCTOR.

16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?

The story of the discovery of Aspirin stretches back more than 3,500 years to when bark from the willow tree was used as a pain reliever and antipyretic. It involves an Oxfordshire clergyman, scientists at a German dye manufacturer, a Nobel Prize-winning discovery and a series of pivotal clinical trials.

For some years, Docs Suggested I do the Low Dose Aspirin Blood Thinning Regimen.
As Blood Clotting is one of the More Deadly Covid Symptoms, I began the Low Dose Aspirin Regimen nearly a Year Ago. ...
As described in my "Covid And Blood Clotting" Blog - Posted Last November ...

Anyone considering beginning Any such regimen would do Well to consult their Doc.
An observation ...
Upon reviewing the previous page comments on this blog ...
Our Earlier discussions of covid (with the exception of One Troll Comment deleted with Extreme Prejudice ) were a Helluva lot more Civil - and, I might add, Constructive - than the current "To Vax or Not to Vax, that is the Question" exchanges Currently going on.
JMHO ...

I Have Covid Toes, Y'all! - Seems I picked up a case of Wu Flu.
These Aren't my toes - But that's EXACTLY how Mine Look ...
But that possibility seemed Highly Unlikely because I was doing Extreme Shutdown -
Only going out for groceries. (Dead from starvation or Dead from covid is Still Dead).
Also -
Covid Toe Closely resembles effects of frostbite & I thought I'd perhaps allowed my feet to get colder'n what was judicious - Though I never had actual frostbite ...
Peripheral Blood Vessels And “COVID toe.” -
Small blood clots can become lodged in tiny blood vessels. When this happens close to the skin, it can result in a rash. Some people who test positive for COVID-19 develop tiny blood clots that cause reddish or purple areas on the toes, which can itch or be painful. Sometimes called COVID toe, the rash RESEMBLES FROSTBITE.

Posting 1 example (you) to support a possible cure is unhelpful and dangerous, as no 2 people are alike, and as you yourself said, some may double the amount and then cause a major problem unrelated to covid.
Sure promote low dose aspirin but add that a Doctor is needed to prescribe the correct type and strength.
Merc brought up that the Low Dose Aspirin Regimen (ANY significant change in one's health care protocol, for that matter) should be undertaken after consulting one's Health Care Pro.
That said -
It can't be said Too Often, so it's Well that the point was brought up on Page 2.
I've Also provided Several Links in the OP & Updates to studies that support that Aspirin is being shown to be beneficial in averting several of the Most Life Threatening manifestations of Covid.
Another point raised on Page 1 -
Why are these observations - and over a YEAR of supporting studies now -
