Evidence that Covid 19 was around in November?
A good friend of mine works at a hospital lab in a big city. Well, she does not play any direct role in the scenario, but she might have prompted indirectly some of the action to be taken.Anyway, she has just informed....
Her mom's boyfriend was very sick in November. His doctor thought he might have lung cancer, but it was later diagnosed as pneumonia.
Just recently, in fact the results were gotten today. He and his doctor decided to test him for the anti-bodies of Covid 19, and his test came back positive.....meaning he has had Covid 19.
Well...either he had the disease in November, or he caught the virus later on and never even knew he had it because there were no signs he had it.
I am not doctor, but if I was a betting man (and I am) I would put my money on the fact he had the virus back in November.

My advice would be to get tested..Different symptoms for many but all lead to the same positive test of Covid-19.
I can't get my hands on big machines online at all..Have been using tyre's off cars ad other bits and pieces..I miss & crave my water resistant training in the pool using equipment
I had a house full of family & partners this Christmas gone, my grandson came with a flu, days later my eldest arrived feeling a little unwell also, within hours she was killed with the flu, both had travelled from the east. One by one the virus went through most of my guests, two became worryingly ill, but thankfully eventually came to pass all.
Since the Covid, many of them have wondered the possibilities could we of had the virus in the country earlier then reported.. because I've never seen the likes of them dropping like flies before, I'm open minded to their thoughts, but given I'm a smoker, and a good one at that LOL and because I was one of the few of us that never got it, I wasn't inclined to agree too much.
But this week I hear, long time smokers have a better chance than most ....
So who knows.
Similar here, with the two big holidays where people are traveling and families are gathering (Thanksgiving and Christmas). There was illness here as well within my family and friends, but it was with the women more so...that I can recall. Hmmm, I will have to look back at one of my blogs. I know there was a time that I got sick twice in one year and that never happens to me. I forget if it was this past year or the previous one. I know I mentioned I was sick in one of my blogs.
I heard the same about smokers too, where it was said it seemed they were better off. That is strange.

The only thing that comes to mind is with this shelter in place, it did flatten the curve...so as that hospitals did not get overcome by patients. That would be my understanding of the benefit of shelter in place...vs....just letting things go, and let herd immunity do its thing. But again, I am no doctor and this is just my opinion.

either I've explained wrong or you've just taken me up wrong, but thankfully no one died other then proper Christmas and new years plans and celebrations. One of my daughters who does have ongoing health/lung issues, got hit worst and suffered with the virus most.
As for why long time smokers, I believe the Hair folics which help to filter incoming air, are more thin, some flattened as in damaged ... I have heard the socalled spike protein ( maybe not the correct medical name) but anyhow, it clings/sticks to the hairs, remaining causing most & worst damage... without such to cling onto, the virus flushes through the system quicker with less chance of damaging what became infected.
If this is true, what may be a good thing now, isn't in the long run unless we take warning from it...

I think it was a mild inflammatory disease first and doc did not recognize, just prescribed steroids for worst cases and plenty of blood tests too for unknown phenomenon. then this disease mutated as it spread and now can be deadly.
all this will be found out at later stage. See some extreme .rashes on young children etc some things not touching lungs at all. So yes the mystery will be solved but sadly the death rate globally is so sad.
The only reason that the end of December was made official is because that is the date that the Chinese got caught out and notified WHO. Then the WHO sat on it for the best part of a month before informing the rest of the world.

I do hope you are wrong though about the rapid mutation....but, you might be right...it does align with what I have been hearing.
