Work Restricted

I see a blog regarding working from
The home place as opposed to pre
Covid.
My own thoughts would be if you can
You should. It is going to be a long road
Back for our Economy, as well as for
Others.
I am not working, the hotel that has my
Employment is closed indefinitely but
My job is safe. My hours probably will
Be less. I will be okay.
In lreland the restrictions are starting
To be eased. Hopefully, not too soon.
There is pressure on governments
Now as people are struggling and
Also the fine weather which is a bigger
Test now.

This picture is handy, when l log in a
Green circle lights up, otherwise it
Could be mistaken for a Spot The Ball
Competition. I wonder did they get
Scarcer as googling pictures became
Easier to do.
Funny what goes through your mind
Sometimes.wow
I agree. If you can, you should.
I think just about everyone can.
Perhaps not with their current/past job,
but be creative and improvise with your own.
However, I'm glad you have the option to return to yours as a fallback and that you will be OK.
thumbs up

Manuman Hi again wave
I loved the company in the jobs I had. I worked hard but I made great friends in places where I worked and have kept in touch with many who went abroad during the bad times after the Crash.
If I was married/had kids or a very long commute yes. However there is something about having to look neat and be in at a certain time and take your lunch at a particular time that sets some semblance of order to your life. Just how I felt anyway. The craic on a Friday night out for a few drinks with workmates was always fun too.wine
They should allow everyone to work from home who is able to.

That will cut down on traffic jam, pollution of the air, and other living expenses.
Agree amicab thumbs up apparently the ozone hole is closing due to the lockdown throughout the world.
It is nice to know what people are
Thinking & l am grateful to the
People who shared their views.
I hope everyone here is coming
Through these trying times. It is
Nice that the restrictions are being
Eased, l hope my work in the hotel
Sector is back before July, at the
Moment l am outside the 5k radius,
I know if l was working l would be
Permitted.
Thanks Again, Best Wishes Always
I don't think hotels are back in July ...
August or October, is what I thought? but if July... good thumbs up

I agree with you about the fine weather being a test.
So many younger people here in Dublin [and elsewhere] feel they're invincible
That its' only the 'oldies' that will get the Covid19

Regarding your job I'm glad it's safe. I do think that those who are working from home will choose to remain there when they are allowed the option of going back .
Traffic in most large cities is a nightmare. Commuting is a pain and expensive for many too.
For many it would be the ideal. Perhaps touching base with the office once a week.
Take care, be Safe.
There are negotiations taking
Place to plan the reopening in a
Few phases. There are some hotels
Letting non covid HSE staff use
Rooms. The hotel can be run then
With managers and small staff.
It was sad about Bewleys in Grafton
Street, but it was crippled by rates
and rent.
Hours will be harder to build up,
I work on part time basis, using
The gym free and meals at work
Means l do not need all the hours
Different for families, people who
Live with partners. I am single.
Thanks everyone for sharing
Thoughts and ldeas.
Manu, going with news bulletins here, some hotels were set up to allow travellers isolate for two weeks, latest news I've heard ... people are still landing here with no restrictions being upheld or enforced.

Because you are single and maybe not responsible for family & etc....
you getting past this and continuing on ... still counts,
I wish you the best of luck, hope everything works out just fine for you wine
I am getting tired of being at home.

I want to get back to work.

It is nice to stay at home and still get pay, but it's time to venture out.

Our government is being over protective as we now have zero case of Covid19 in our country, and we still have curfew.
It is nice that your job is there
I am looking forward to going
Back to mine. I am looking
Forward to hearing of the next
Announcement regarding the
Restrictions middle of the month.
Every country faces different
Challenges. I think travel is going
To change in a big way. I was
Never big into it, all l can say is l
Am lucky and happy l was born
Here.
Thanks To All Who Posted
And Shared ldeas And Views.
I've worked online from home for a couple of years now because I don't speak enough Spanish to get a conventional job in Spain. In the past I had jobs which could be done from home, to me the ideal going forward would be that everything who can work from home should, with one nominated day at the office a week to cover meetings, photocopies if necessary, all office stuff, plus maintaining team contacts and team spirit laugh that would really take a load off public transport too.

I also have a plan idea to stop office blocks standing empty - I think after so much enforced togetherness families that rubbed along ok in normal times will now be desperate to get their own places so some office blocks can instead become apartments for far less effort than hastily building new apartment blocks. Sorted. And how original to have an apartment with, say, 4 loos rolling on the floor laughing

I think the experts could be given a
Bit of trust. I never made it any
Further than a shift leader, so l am
Inclined to listen to people who are
Proven in their field of expertise. I
Know we all make mistakes, so l do
Not trust everything but my mind is
Open, in general.
