The New Normal
It hasn't dawned yet but everyone agrees things won't ever be quite the sameThere are some things from our respective quarantines many would like to keep. For those who can, working from home, with perhaps one or two trips to the office a week, would be good to keep
More meetings online instead of dashing around on planes trains and automobiles, definitely worth keeping
Socially, not being expected to kiss-kiss or hug every stranger you meet, that works for me
The floor is open. If you were in charge of designing the New Normal, what would you aim for ...

Hi Lee..
Merc, not sure we can put that in as a general requirement ... but hey why not, this is ideal world after all. Works for me!!
No sense moving to another state because as soon as I mention my state they will run away
(You know what I find odd? The phase we are locked in right now, I can go to a hairdresser or a manicurist, which is by definition very close contact with a person who is having other close contacts, but I can't visit anyone, or have any visitors. and I can now go for a walk for up to a km, but I can't sit down on a bench or wall along the way, and just enjoy the view and the sunshine and being out I do hope New Normal isn't going to include more of this New Logic)
For me, I am enjoying the peace & quiet and lack of tourists and neighbours.
As for the spanish logic, well...it's practically non existent!
Even the spanish don't understand the rules and regulations!
As for our daily walks, YES, you can sit on a bench or on the wall, having a drink and admiring the view.
I do that every day and walk on the beach, which is practically empty and others are also sitting on benches...which is allowed!
Tomorrow Monday, we're starting phase 1 and we'll be able to sit at terraces to have a meal, some shops will be open, and we can visit family members and go in the car with those living in the same house.
Nothing you do want to see when we settle in the future, then.
Merc maybe it was all those stupid protesters complaining they couldn't get their roots touched up and not enough complaining they couldn't keep fit?
AI - your policia may be more relaxed than ours. Here a guy was fined for sitting on the beach with his son instead of running about, and the guidelines were emphatic, the outings are for exercise. Maybe I should have picked Murcia because you may be moving to phase 1 tomorrow but we, although meeting all conditions for phase 1, aren't. It seems Spain is running a little experiment with a 51% split and we ended up in the placebo group.
Probably why I am daydreaming about the mythical time that may one day come.
Reboot - that's now, you need to start lobbying early to make that a law for the future
We will in final phase be allowed up to 800 people in outdoor gatherings. But there will still be limits on private parties even if you have a garden and everyone stays outside. Okay ...
First off if everyone was allowed to be as normal a few months past, the death rate in Spain would have been much higher.
At the moment it looks like the are doing what England will do --fazed and if there is a hot spot closed down again.
Some people have the virus but do not know no symptoms but can pass it on. I do not know about you but if i thought maybe i had passed this dreadful virus on
Anyways as i said before until a vaccination is found and that will be difficult because all over the world it seems as if the virus alters--as they do it will be hard.
Life will change from what we know as so called normal for a long time yet, so go with the flow or you will be discontented for a long time.
And yeah I think photos are rotated sometimes just to remind us we're being watched? I didn't expect this pic of me to stay up more than a day, I can only think it survived because it is topical.
Or Merc is right and I'm special masks do suit me though.
Thank you for your kind advice, however.
For me let there always be books on line as the library's will be long time before opening here.
And i hope i do not move as i have big open spaces to walk in when the time comes.
Still that will be hard as i will not use public transport anymore and i live at the top of a hill, so when moving is allowed again i will be on the hunt for something down in the town
Today we moved one step closer to the day where we can re-open at Aquafit and see your smiling faces again soon! ????
Here’s what we know so far! ??
Today, Prime Minister Scott Morrison delivered a 3 Phase framework for a COVIDsafe Australia, for the gradual resumption of business and services over the coming months
Whilst mention was made of outdoor Bootcamps in Phase 1 and reopening of gyms in Phase 2 and 3 of the framework – much is yet to still be determined.
Further clarification is required for NSW fitness businesses and exercise professionals, with the exact timings of proposed re-openings determined at a state level. We also anticipate that re-opening will be subject to strict restrictions on capacity, social distancing and sanitation requirements. We await further announcements early next week by the NSW government about the proposed roadmap and timings, to assist with our planning.
As a Fitness Australia registered business, we will be abiding by a comprehensive framework for the safe re-opening of gyms provided by our National Industry body.
Meanwhile, over the last several weeks, we have been working hard behind the scenes (including creating a few surprises) ???? to ensure that your Aquafit Health Fitness Wellbeing will provide even higher levels of cleanliness and sanitation and a safe environment for our members and team ????????
We’ll keep you updated as we know more!
Just received the above notice on FB..HURRY UP
For starters, no fancy dainty little tapas counters offering a tempting array. You get what the kitchen has. Well, up to now. Different type, even if only a plate of crisps, with every new round of drinks and okay sometimes oddly strong pickled mushrooms but generally very edible.
Thing is, it was free (cannot get cheaper than that ) and delivered on a shared plate (for 2, or 4) with your drink. You got what the kitchen had. I usually got double because the person I usually drink with doesn't eat fish or Spanish bar sauce and tapas was almost inevitably at least partly fish or almost inevitably drizzled (or swamped) with bar sauce
I'll be baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack when it's in our sights

love it. Dur de dur de durde durde durdedurdedurde
Well viv plenty of chat on how life will be???? reckon it will never be the same again, not in my life time anyway.
Kids will be taught and brought up so different. Maybe some good will come out of it, less cars, maybe folk wont cough in you face when passing, shopping on line will be the norm. Less pollution in the air and more folks working from home.
Kids and parents new bonds, kids learning how to entertain themselves without roaming the streets we live in hopes anyway.
Stay safe
I hate shaking hands with people. My hands are always cold, and they always made sure i knew it.
Some people use the loo and don't wash their hands (ewwwwwww).
Yeah that's gone.
