I don't know why you think anyone would want to defend it, but what would be even harder to defend is your mindset. I would say that smashing up a shop/store, thus depriving someone of their livelihood, is much more indefensible than defacing a wall with names engraved on it. You obviously put a higher value on masonry than on people.
What is it one looks at here ?

Good for you in keeping a positive attitude...at work my co-workers laugh at me and my other colleague regarding hearing...many various accents make it difficult to hear not to mention when we don face masks...getting older...lol...laugh
Yeah, I'm a bit worried about the face mask thing.

Living in a fairly isolated village still on lockdown, I haven't really had to deal with that yet.
