Happy Birthday to me!
I have just come home from my birthday celebration. It was so nice to spend some time with people that I like. My mother, aunt, brother, sister and K.The dinner went down very well. I cooked Greek style dinner, which consisted of kebab with homemade pita bread and some homemade tzatziki sauce. The bread was amazing, the kebabs were just SO tasty and the tzatziki sauce was wonderful! Gifts? Well, I got that too. My sister gave me a plaque for my wall with the 5 rules of Bacon, and then I got a new razor for my face. My mother and brother gave me a gift certificate for IKEA, and K.. Well, K just gifted me the best thing ever: A bottle of champagne and some money in my savings account! My aunt only gives gifts to her kids, which is absolutely fine.
So today's 36th year birthday bash was a long one, but a good one. I did have a small freakout moment. I went to buy the minced lamb. When I got to the butcher's, there was no minced lamb in sight. I asked if they had any, to which the clerk replied: "No, but we have these chunks of lamb meat that I can grind up for you?".. Thank GOD for that! They saved my dinner plans!
K and I have already made some plan as to what will happen the next time we meet up. Might be dinner at her place, and then a movie. We'll see!
