New hair do

Yesterday I had my hair permed short. So many things have changed because of covid. My bag wasn't courteously taken and put inside a locker room. I was asked to just put it on a chair beside me. The usually 6 seats was only half full as they practiced distancing one seat apart even if the 6 seats are almost a meter apart. I had my hands sprayed with a non alcoholic disinfectant and was asked to use their own mask even if I had mine. There were even 3 chairs lined outside the parlor each equally distanced. The price was still the same and lucky for me for having that sweet gay who looks highly professional as can be seen on the way he styled the winding. Business looks good as there were so many customers but the extra precaution is an added cost. May a vaccine be available soon. May all we resume to all the normal things we used to do. May lust for money and power wane in the hearts and minds of people who wants to rise up and rule with impunity. Now my heart is heavy when all I want to share is my new hair do.

Looking good...I have friends there. Don't rush to take a vaccine once it actually is released. The virus is mutating too fast... wait to see the initial response for large studies.

@General, a salute to you, General. cheers Thanks for your rare visit. You have friends here in Japan in general or in Aichi specifically? Thanks for the reminder. I've read about various opinions regarding covid vaccines. No one wants to be a guinea pig anyway. But I do give credence to refutable agencies/countries. Besides may be safe to say that everything artificial has side effects but as long as the side effect is left to a minimum, usage is OK. @Fonda, I usually get to the parlor for a short perm around summer. It's been 10 months since I've last visited a parlor. As someone from the factory told me that work might resume in the coming days hence all the more I wanted this hair cut. It was along my shoulders already and quite uncomfortable as it's getting warmer everyday. I do my own cooking although sometimes I do buy packed foods from the supermarket. Not sure about the covid infections here in my city but in my home country, the daily infection is very alarming. Thanks for your extra rare visit. @Chat, thanks for such a funny remark. My profile picture was taken 3 yrs ago. My new hair looks the same as my profile picture. Everything about that picture is almost the same except that I've got more white hair.grin

@Bassa, I washed my hair too before I went there but a staff washed it again. The winding took much of the time almost an hour. I spent a bit less than 2 hrs. They used to have some candies and reading materials and sometimes refreshment. But yesterday they're all gone. And they don't have walls between seats. And even some air conditioning units were in operation, the door was left open. Other than that everything do look normal especially the price list. Just worried for all business establishments since all the precautions means additional operating cost. I haven't tried cutting my own hair but I can trim others hair. I used to trim my son's hair util he was around 9 yrs old. he got fed up with my styling because I was slow and took longer time. I don't have any formal training and one of my bucket list if ever is enrolling in a hair designing school.grin

You reminded me that there were no magazines and no refreshments in my salon either. We were told to "travel light" and only bring a purse and our own refreshment (water or coffee or tea) as they would not be providing it. If I was there longer, I would bring some water. I very much appreciate being able to get my hair cut properly now and have decided to let it grow so that it will be easier to manage when the second pandemic comes. You're right when you say that our world will never be the same. Enjoy your new hairdo! bouquet teddybear
