It is likely similar, dynamically, to the overuse of words like Racism, Sexism, and the "phobias", so often seen among those of certain political persuasions, while signaling great personal virtue.. Also seems to go along with the need to bully, especially on physical characteristics of others, or, say, skills, such as the ability to use language. Often used by some in certain crafts, about which there are deeply feared questions on personal competence.
Easy to detect, from the volume and intensity of the displays. Often stridently put forth, so there's rarely little chance for missing it.
