In to the wild
I have been in the wild for some days.Ocean on one side but acres and acres of thick forestry all around.
My temporary abode.
The safari vehicle is not the coolest ride. ( I mean not comfortable) Bumpy rides in dusty roads. Body feels like beaten up.
I think wild has lived in peace for quite some time.
I know we have to be careful about the virus. But the wheels of economy have to roll. Livelihoods have to be powered up.
I have taken 3 rides in to wild. Today I am taking a rest.
Leapards.
Elephants.
Crocodiles.
Black bears.
There are plenty of deer, buffaloes, peacocks, and wild boars. But I am looking for leopards. Beautiful but shy animals.
feels like beaten up.

Tell me....are you going wild in the wild?
The Sri Lanka Leopard is now one of the most endangered species in SL, but I understand there is a special breeding program in place.
When i google off road tyre pressure guild get information like: -
What is the best tire pressure for off roading?
Generally, for most off road vehicles 15-20 PSI is a good starting point compared to 35 PSI +/- found on most stock tires. For very soft sand - such as dune running - 10 PSI may be optimal but at tire pressures that low, you are risking the tire coming off the bead.Jul 15, 2018

What PSI should a 4x4 TYRE be?
As a general rule you should follow the recommended tyre pressures as stated on your vehicle's tyre placard for on-road driving which, for most 4×4 wagons and utes, will be between 30psi and 38psi.Feb 19, 2018

Is 30 psi enough for tires?
Being low on pressure doesn't hurt the tire or the wheel at all, unless they get very low, like 10 PSI. Also, you should check your owner's manual to see what the correct tire pressure setting is. 30 PSI is a safe bet, although the odds of your car specifying exactly 30 are rare.
I have a 4x4 Ute that i use in the bush quite a lot and equally on tar highway driving. I've set my tyre pressures in the morning when the tyre is cold at the usual 29 psi, soon after you drive for couple km the tyre pressure will increase to around 32 psi.
If people do not have symptoms of COVID-19 on arrival, they will be placed in a managed isolation facility. They may not leave their facility unless they have applied for and received an exemption from isolation from health officials. However, they can go for walks under the condition they do not have contact with other people in the community.
Quarantine
If people do have symptoms of COVID-19 on arrival, or test positive after arrival, they will be placed in a quarantine facility. These people will be unable to leave their room.
Facilities
All travellers who arrive in New Zealand will be tested for COVID-19 at their respective facilities. Details of how and when the testing will happen will be provided at the facility.
All people in managed isolation and quarantine will be provided with three meals a day, and have other basic needs met such as having prescription medicines delivered to them.
There is no cost to people in these facilities for accommodation, food or associated basic needs. People may use online delivery services to purchase items at their own cost. Friends and family members may not visit or drop off items to people staying in these facilities.
Before leaving the facility, a final health check will be carried out confirming the person:
has not tested positive for COVID-19 or is not a probable case
does not have symptoms of COVID-19
has a temperature below 38 degrees Celsius.
Maybe, Oh Well, wrong blog.
B'bye.
I say you are at Yala National Park
Enjoy Usha.
Perhaps use one of those cushions to sit on for those bumpy rides.
Good to see you around.
Not going wild in the wild. I am behaving. But peed in the park. although there are rest rooms I couldn't hold till I get there. I had to mark my territory leopard way.
Not Wilpattu. I am in Yala. Southern part. The highway was completed few months ago. So it's little more than 3 hour drive.
Wilpattu is a longer drive from Colombo and no highway. But I have to go up to that area very soon. An elephant mother gave birth to twin cubs. I hope I get to see them. It's first time recorded twins here.
That is a compliment Robert.
I wish I could be a tribal woman and live like a maasai woman in the wild with animals. They don't have to wear bras.
I hope he didn't.
Awww-rrright! Eh, Where is this place? I'm going there soon. Woo hoo!!!
You can at least dress like them,, sometimes.
Asian elephants are much smaller than the African elephants. I prefer African elephants but I love elephants in general. There is one coming to the hotel every morning. But I never got to see him.
Hope all is well with you.
You can not go to those places as of now. calm down .
There are safety measures, and of course I wear a mask when out in public. Carry alcohol based sanitizer in my hand bag.
I think we have to be cautious but still take few chances to live life.
Two three minutes is nothing you should admit.
My apologies it was for a different travel blog.
Sheesh!
5 minutes.
This is a modified vehicle. I went with this guy several times. We get a good view. But it is a vehicle from another planet.
Good selling strategy.
Cool!
Thank you for the nice company.
Have a wonderful evening there.
I hope that was not your "bush" outfit
thanks for the blog and fun replies.
