Hand update!

The nurse at the hospital, told me, that I had to use my hand lightly to begin with, and then gradually increase the load on it. So I did! I played some Nascar Heat 4, which isn't really heavy on my hand, and also watched some YouTube videos as well, just to relax my hand even more. I am happy to say, that is has helped a lot. The pain is almost gone, so I am back to 100% tomorrow or on Sunday. Good timing too, since I am attending a sit down gig tomorrow in Copenhagen with K. I am then spending the night at her place, and then heading home on Sunday.

I am happy!

Just don't get carried away with your hand, you don't want a setback at this stage. thumbs up
Oh I am not gonna do anything that will make the injury "blow up" again, so to speak :)
Good news. Did they figure out what the actual problem was ?
The nurse tried various different tricks, to see if anything was broken, or if anything hurt. When I said "no" to everything, she then wanted me to twist my hand from side to side. When no pain were there, she concluded, that it was a strained ligament
I admire your willpower, phil, I usually succumb after the first trick. sigh
I would bet you have carpal tunnel syndrome.
I've had it and it was so bad I needed surgery on both hands which was VERY successful

You must be doing something in a repetitive nature

Blood flow is important. Don't hold you hand upright for a long time.
For me it was bad at night because in my sleep I didn't realize that my arm was upright.
The pain woke me up and I had to hang my arm down over the side of the bed.

I wore wrist supports on both hands and was able to do a daily routine including type

Both of these videos are good for explanation

Secret - the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome is numbness, tingling, and pain in your thumb and the first three fingers of your hand, pain and burning that travels up your arm, wrist pain at night that interferes with sleep and weakness in the muscles of the hand. I have none of these. I have plenty of power in my hand, and I haven't felt any of the other symptoms. I sleep fine, so I am very confident that it is not carpal tunnel syndrome :)
Glad it is minimal discomfert have fun with k
