Redhead...
Not that I'm looking, but nearly all the redheaded women I've met had color from a bottle. It's rare to find a true redhead. The part I find interesting is all the sayings (and misconceptions) about redheaded women and their s*xual prowess... comments about fiery personalities, etc.About 2% of the population have red hair. Unfortunately, the young girls were teased in grade school and often treated as outcasts for being different. It wasn't until they were adults did the boys who laughed find them attractive. To this, I believe there's somewhat of a vendetta that redheads have about men. It's my opinion, but I'm sure someone will have to tell me how wrong I am!
I did hit a website with some redhead facts... most of them were 'off the scale crazy' but some appeared to be valid.
I'll list a few:
Red hair doesn’t gray as much as other hair colors. Red hair initially tends to turn blond and then white.
Otherwise dark hair may turn red or blond in cases of severe protein deficiency due to starvation.
Satan is often portrayed as a redhead most likely because red was viewed as the color of s*xual desire and moral degradation.
According to a Clairol Color Attitude survey, 71% of redheads think that the word “bold” describes them, which is 24 points ahead of blonds.
While Scotland has the highest proportion (13%) of redheads (followed by Ireland with 10%), the United States has the largest population of redheads in the world, with between 6-18 million redheads, or 2-6% of the population.
“Gingerphobia” is a fear of redheads. “Gingerism” is the bullying or prejudice of redheads.
Redheaded women report bruising more easily than other women of different hair colors.
Because redheads have thicker hair than people with other hair colors, they have fewer strands of hair. For example, while blondes have on average 140,000 hairs, redheads have approximately 90,000.
According to Hamburg sex researcher Dr. Werner Habermehl, women with red hair have more sex than women with other hair colors. He also postulates that women in a relationship who dye their hair red may be signaling that they are unhappy and looking for something better.

Went to school with a family of them. Parents, kids..boys girls. All carrot tops. O'Keefes. Except one girl..black hair. Sure looked weird. Throw back.
Redheads appear to be more sensitive to pain, and less sensitive to the kinds of local anesthesia used as the dentists, research recent suggests.
A 2004 study found that redheads required significantly more anesthetic in order to block pain from an unpleasant electric stimulation.
Another study found that redheads are more sensitive to sensations of cold and hot, and that the dental anesthetic lidocaine is less effective for redheads.
The MC1R gene that can cause red hair codes for a receptor that is related to a family of receptors involved in perceiving pain, which may explain why mutations in MC1R would increase pain perception.
Because of their increased pain sensitivity and reduced tolerance to anesthesia, redheads may avoid the dentist. A 2009 study found that redheads were more anxious about dental visits, had more fear that they would experience pain during a visit, and were more than twice as likely to avoid dental care than those without the MC1R gene.
The above is copy and paste from a couple different sources - very accurate info.
My dentist gives me extra lidocaine every visit. That's a lot of shots ...
Thanks for sharing the interesting insight into the redhead genetics.

I am speaking here of a lovely blondy red that goes with green , brown , blue eyes and not a ginger with freckles although that is nice too.
There are still young girls and adults who are a titian red, with beautiful green or blue eyes. Men tend to hate redheads or love them.
I have a very good friend. she has amazing red hair and it doesn't go grey unlike other colours. I always had some red but not enough to stop the greys and whites so now I put some colour in.
I have another friend. Melissa, she has the thick luscious titian hair that artists went mad for. She still has that colour, and it is just as thick. She has lovely sallow skin too.
So you do have Germanic DNA.
Another useless fact but Redheads don't need VitD3 and if living in northern climates with little skin don't get depleted in this vitamin. As has already been said, they haven't a great threshold for pain.
My father had reddish hair and amber Gold eyes. It can come out in 2nd generation.
Irish women marrying in to Various eastern cultures, the dark DNA of black/brown eyes comes through along with the dark hair so red hair will be extinct here and that's sad.
I saw Nicole Kidman when she was in Dublin for the premiere of a film. She had porcelain skin, absolutely perfect skin and has this mass of long blondish/Red hair, absolutely stunning woman.
she doesn't always love her colouring as much as others do, but compliments regarding it, stops her temptation from ruining it by colouring it again.
Who say's compliments doesn't go a long way.
