@Mercedes, thanks for being my first. Just surfing and saw this link. The video was in 2018. Just hope I'll come across one of her new videos. Her level of maturity is amazing. And yes she shld be sharing her insights to some world leaders today and just maybe the world would be a much better place to live.heart wings hug teddybear bouquet

@Hans, nice having people both from Down Under. I do think so, too. The world needs people like her. Hope she'll stay that way, showering positive vibes to all these negativities. Thanks for dropping by.teddybear

Ohhh wow....thumbs up
She can articulate her thoughts well.

Her parents should be a shame that this little girl has more sense of family than they do.

She is adorable, can i take her home?
@Luke,hug bouquet Amicable, I don't have a daughter and I, too, would gladly take her home but I'd be on my toes then!laugh heart wings peace bouquet
@Jim, and so cute too when she keeps on saying I'm not trying to be mean. Very huggable! hug bouquet
I think this little girl has listened very carefully to her teacher at school (or wherever she spends time with other children) and has assimilated an important message from him, or her.

It's impressive that she has reproduced the fairly complicated message so acutely in an appropriate setting. She recognises the message applies to her parents arguing and appears to understand the representations of 'heart', 'high', 'low' and 'heart level', at least enough to reproduce the message. She appears to understand the consequences of behaviour and can conceptualise potential sequences of events.

I take my hat off to teacher and student, and in the case of the little girl, the student who becomes the teacher.

Another brilliant video Tatami, thankyou for taking the trouble to share it. tip hat
@Jac, it is I who shld thank you not just for commenting but for sharing your keen observation. It is Obon holiday here in Japan and got plenty of time to tinker the computer. Rest assured I'd share those I find meaningful and interesting.hug heart wings teddybear bouquet hug
I really like the message of holding one's emotions at heart level.

The teacher has obviously thought about the dangers of suppressing feelings and their communication as much as the consequences of letting emotions and behaviour go unchecked.

It is a message which includes emotional maturity, becoming a self-aware congruent person, becoming other-aware and using empathy, as well as understanding that our behaviours have consequences and envisioning sequences of consequences as I mentioned earlier.

I think my grandchildren see me as some kind of encyclopaedic guru. If I'm not interjecting things I know, I'm questioning and googling. Watching animated films with them is good for this as they are often based upon legend and character relevant names can often be translated.

My current project is finding out how the foundations of bridges are built in water because two of my grandsons travelled the suspension bridge between Wales and England recently. I think there might be some fun to be had with Lego and a sink full of water. laugh

I think I will share this video with them and see what they make of holding one's emotions at heart level. I'll let you know how it goes.
Has the Obon holiday been affected by the pandemic, Tatami?

I googled it and found it is usually a busy period for travelling. Here in Wales we still have a lot of restrictions to inhibit the spread of infection.
@Jac, good for you having grandchildren. At my age I wish I have too.
I haven't been out since the holiday began. I planned to go shopping yesterday but my son met with a longtime friend who's around for the holiday. He came home very late last night. So I'd go shopping with him hopefully today. Judging from my son's story, the road was quite busy yesterday. I believe there's some kind of restraint in spending the Obon like before as some infection spike and emergency measures were announced on the onset of the holiday. Being in Japan and not living in a big city and not fond of night life makes me feel safer though.
Your grandchildren are surely lucky for having you around, a diamond of experiences and resources.kiss hug teddybear bouquet heart beating
