Drip down, O heavens, from above, And let the clouds pour down righteousness. Isaiah 45:8
Alright, so I don't usually use a Bible verse to title a blog, but today is the exception. You might ask yourself "Has Philipsen gone truly mad?".. Well.. No.. Not yet.. I mean, I might be a bit weird, but I am definitely not mad. Anyway..For days and days, they promised rain and thunder here. They even warned, that a torrential downpour was possible. For several days now.. Nothing came.. Until today! You see, I was at work, being busy as always. Picking things for Sweden, I think. I then heard the unmistakable sound of drops on the roof. Then another. And another. And then - the Heavens opened, and rain fell HARD from the sky. So hard, that it drowned out the radio, forcing a coworker and I to shout to each other, even though we are 6 feet apart. The rain lasted for about an hour or so (at least, that's what I think it did). My break was in the middle of the downpour, so I sat in the staff room, looking out. At that point, dear reader, I felt some kind of presence. One of those "Everything is going to be alright" type of presence. I am no Bible expert, so I don't know if there is anything in there that explains that presence. I trust at least one of you will enlighten me, if there really is such a thing in the Bible.
Tomorrow is gonna be a good day as well, I can feel it!
Toodles!

Sometimes a piece from the Bible can just come in to your head, or suddenly you feel a calm come over you.... it is healing and uplifting and everything will be alright Philpsen for you. I promise.
Work hard, save hard and get yourself a place to live where you can feel it is home.
When I lost my home in 80s through no fault of my own. I had to move in to a bedsit which is one room with a shower and loo in another room. It was clean and bright and I was very very happy there. It was modest and I made friends there I still have to this day. So I have no doubt things get better from here on in.
(This advice is not directed at the Blogger, I'm sure he is already a nice guy.)
Then on behalf of Uncle Joe & Amerika, eYe apologize and beg you send missionaries our way....
..I still recall the Time in 1975 at basic training in the middle of the Mark Twain Natl. Forest... I'd been there only 2 days-- having arrived 1 am, 8/15/1975...
...we were playing basketball..2pmish...and dark silent clouds above...there came a crack...then a DELUGE that could not be spoken over, just the sound of it hitting asphalt was tremendous...we sprinted into the barracks & watched for about an hour..as a wall of water just kicked Ft. Leonard Wood a brand new Stargate....with rainbow....
