"ANIMALS?...THEY DO GRIEVE"
My Son?.......................... If Anything?.............. Probably............. If There Were To Be A Contest For People That Are Are Lovers Of Cats?.............Would Probably Be In The Top Ten In The World...................... As Far As Caring So Much For A CatHe Had Two Cats That He Raised As Kittens...(They Did Not Have The Same Parents)
One Was A Male Named "Captain"
"And The Other Was Named "Julie"
(It Just So Happened That The Week He Got Captain From The Pet Shop?)
"He...And His Girlfriend At The Time...Were Walking In The Woods....And As They Were Walking?
This Little Tiny Kitten?... Jumped Out From The Bushes Trying To Catch A Flying Bug
So Obviously?...He Took This Kitten Home With Him...And That's How "Julie" Came To Be
So Captain And Julie Grew Up Together...And That Lasted for Almost 18 Years
Because About 2 Weeks Ago? "Julie" Died from "Cancer In Her Mouth"
(She Could Not Eat Anymore And Started To Lose Weight Really Fast)
He Did Everything From Having Radiation And Whatever You Can Come Up With
But...In The End? Julie Finally Died...A Big Blow For Him,Her,,,And Even To Me...As I'd See Her Most Every Day
If Anybody Tells You That Animals Do Not Grieve?....Know For Sure That They Are Wrong...Why?
"Because The Other Cat "Captain?"...Since Julies Passing? Has Become Not Himself Anymore"
Captain Will Hardly Eat Anymore....And It's Come to Where He Had To Be Brought To The Vet
They Could Not Find Anything Wrong With Him
All Captain Does Is Just Sit There And He Just Stares...... Looking At Nothing
It Is Totally Obvious That "Captain" Is Grieving About Julie Not Being Here Anymore
So? I'm Hoping That Captain Will Start eating Again Because The Vet Said That If He Doesnt Eat For Two Days? He Will End Up With What They Call...A Fatty Liver...Which Could Be Fatal
So Believe Me When I Tell You That Cats?...For That Matter?...Any Animals?
Do Grieve When They Lose Something That Is Close To Them
And In This Case? It Is Because Of "Julie" Not Being Here Anymore
C'mon Captain!!...You Have To Start To Eat!!!!

Recently I have been experimenting with safe methods of killing ants. After studying ants online I learned a lot about them in the process. I don't think they grieve, but one thing I wanted to know was if they felt pain. According to the experts, ants (and insects in general) do not feel pain because they have no pain receptors. But they are aware when parts of them are not functioning right and that probably causes something like anxiety.
"But Losing Your Best Friend Of Almost 18 Years?'
"Cannot Be Replaced....Ever".......................
"As Of Right Now?"
"Captain" Our Other Cat?"
"Is Still Hardly Eating"
"As The Vet Said"...(If Captain Doesn't Start To Eat Soon?'
"He Could End Up With A Fatty Liver"
"Which...In The Short Run?"
"Could Be His Demise"
"We Just Buried Julie A Week Or So Ago"
"And Now".....This Situation!!"...............................
As for the eating I have had feeding problems a couple times and read on line to try Nutritional Yeast Flakes sprinkled on canned catfood. I'm on my 2nd container of it, my cats love. One cat has never eat canned cat food only dry, but he's getting older and can't handle the hard food very well. My brand name is NOW. People can take it too but I don't like the taste, but both my cats love it.
