Lindsey Graham "Use My Words Against Me"

"I want you to use my words against me. If there's a Republican president in 2016 and a vacancy occurs in the last year of the first term, you can say Lindsey Graham said let's let the next president, whoever it might be, make that nomination and you could use my words against me and you'd be absolutely right."

And?! I don't believe he's said anything about this since Ginsburg passed away. Now if he did, and is singing a different toon now, then that's news.
He said he's in favor of filling the vacancy this year. Not a big shocker.
Oh, he's now gone on record saying this after Ginsburg's passing? I haven't heard anything about this. He said he wasn't for this four years ago, and I'm sure it was because he couldn't stand Trump at the time. That's all changed now....however, if he does say he's for it after Ginsburg's passing, then he will lose all credibility because of what he said four years ago, and he should.

In my opinion, he should have kept his mouth shut about this at that time.

Well, as far as I'm concerned, his credibility is on the line. What he stated four year ago, there's no getting around it now.

We shall see...
Even if the senate flips in November they have plenty of time to get this in as the new senate won't start until January.
Wishful thinking. I don't look for the Senate to flip. After Trump wins re-election, they can preceed with Trump's nomination pick with the
Here's one republican that isn't willing to move on this just yet.

Senator Susan Collins, one of the most vulnerable Republican incumbents, told the New York Times earlier this month that she would not seat a Supreme Court justice in October, arguing that it was “too close” to the election.
Graham is all talk and no action. He claimed "there would be holy hell to pay" if Trump got rid of Jeff Sessions and then when Session was forced out...... dead silence.

The Lincoln Project (conservatives) have an ad out already on this.

A man of his word? NOT. He may not be around next year as he's in a neck and neck race just to hold on to his seat. scold
My money is on Judge Barrett to be the pick. She's opposed to abortion rights and likelly to want to reverse Roe v. Wade. That'll please Trump's base.
Do you think any Senator is truthful? All they care about is holding onto their jobs, they must think the American population are all fools if those disgraced politicians believe the voters cannot see through all their BS and lies.
Hypocrisy is par for the course. Trump is a master of the art.
Back in 2016 Ginsburg said it herself:

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s previous remarks about President Barack Obama’s nomination of Merrick Garland have resurfaced in the wake of her death.

Following the death of the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, Ginsburg was interviewed by The New York Times where she weighed in on the possibility of another nominee filling the newly vacated seat.

During that interview in 2016, she noted that there was nothing in the Constitution to prohibit presidential power in the president’s last year.

“There’s nothing in the Constitution that says the president stops being the president in his last year,” Ginsburg said.

“That’s their job,” she said when asked if the Senate had a responsibility to look into Garland’s qualifications.
I think the world can see clearly, that it is one rule for Republicans and another for Democrats, even when the rule is an unwritten one.
If Trump and the Senate make this decision, then it will cause a vast outcry and a stampede to vote for Biden.

Trump is going to wait for Ginsburg to be laid to rest before making his nomination.
Interesting viewpoint.
