Boston University professor is urged to resign for calling Amy Coney Barrett a 'white colonizer

The left is trying to smear Amy Coney Barrett. Another circus with these hearings from democrats. thumbs down

A Boston University professor is being urged to resign after saying Supreme Court nominee Judge Amy Coney Barrett was a racist ‘white colonizer’ for adopting two black children from Haiti and using them as ‘props’.

The charge was leveled at Judge Barrett - a devout Catholic who has five biological and two adopted children - on Saturday by Ibram X. Kendi, a College of Arts and Sciences tenured professor of history, and the director and founder of Boston University's Center for Antiracist Research.

‘Some White colonizers “adopted” Black children,’ Kendi wrote on Twitter. ‘They “civilized” these “savage” children in the “superior” ways of White people, while using them as props in their lifelong pictures of denial, while cutting the biological parents of these children out of the picture of humanity.’

Kendi, the author of three number 1 New York Times bestsellers including How to be an Antiracist, was responding to a tweet that included a picture of Barrett's sister, Carrie, holding children who were not adopted by the judge.

Kendi describes himself on his website as a hardcore antiracist and softcore vegan and married his wife, Dr. Sadiqa Kendi, a pediatric emergency physician, in 2013. They have a daughter together.

Kendi added: ‘And whether this is Barrett or not is not the point.

‘It is a belief too many White people have: if they have or adopt a child of color, then they can't be racist.’

‘I’m challenging the idea that White parents of kids of color are inherently “not racist” and the bots completely change what I’m saying to “White parents of kids of color are inherently racist.”

‘These live and fake bots are good at their propaganda. Let’s not argue with them.’

He was slammed for suggesting that white parents who adopt black children do so to shield themselves from charges of racism.

Chris Viegas called for Boston University to fire Kendi, tweeting: 'You should be fired for your racism w your statements about the Christian Act of #JudgeAmyConeyBarrett adopting two Haitian children. May Boston University @AASAatBU reconsider your status!! You are not worthy!!'

Samuel Kunz wrote: 'Ibram MUST Resign. Being a racist a**hole and injecting his hateful and racist ideas must not stand. #ResignNow #hatefulbigot.'

Another person said: 'You are more racist than David Duke ever thought about being. You should resign over your disgusting anti-adoption comments. How can you possibly fairly teach white students when you despise them so much.'

Another Twitter user suggested Kendi was promoting the same argument that white supremacists use to discourage adoption of black children.

Chloe Valdary tweeted: ‘Are you suggesting that any white family who adopts black children are colonizers and that interracial adoption is somehow evil?
Please clarify because if this is your position, it’s an evil one.’

Another Twitter user agreed, writing: ‘Generalizations like this are both hurtful and wrong. How can we create a multiracial, tolerant and learning society with statements such as this.’

Another Twitter user wrote: ‘You should show us where in our society some non-Racism has been achieved so at least we have something to move forward toward.

‘Instead you give us racism as the fundamental element of all human interaction in our society while you enjoy success at the pinnacle of the status quo.’

Podcaster Katie Herzog tweeted: ‘My first act as an anti-racist will be sending my black son back to the orphanage.’

Journalist Glenn Greenwald, who is an adoptive parent of children of color, tweeted: ‘Adoption is one of the most beautiful things that exists in the world, and while - like everything, including biological families - it can foster abuse, casually insinuating that for adoptive parents is despicable.’

Unreal Shawnthor Is it possible for the Dems to go any lower?
How long are these children living with the Coney's, and now all of a sudden this is a issue?
This family should be commended for having adopted two children from Haiti.
The left probably can't get any lower. But hey, I'm sure they'll find more ways to. thumbs down
So Barrett is a devout Catholic, adopted two children and is one of the greatest legal minds, but she took her 7 kids to an event where people weren't practising social distancing, nor wearing masks in the middle of a pandemic which has killed over 215,000 people in the country?

And a few days later many people are testing positive?

I can't imagine why anyone might suggest she doesn't have her children's bests interests uppermost in her mind, or that she might not be the shiniest pin in the cushion. dunno
A far right conservative shows her love and dedication for black Americans.
A far right conservative pretends .......

Either one could be true. But tell me what Trump's affiliation with White Supremacists, David Duke, etc.etc.does to support blacks? Tell me what the far right plans to do to help the United States become a truly Democratic Republic?

Get y'all's selves schooled professor in 'bout Ten Minutes!

Raphy,that's A Constitutional Republic!
Its only in your fevered Mind that it is a "Democratic Republic"!rolling on the floor laughing
Shawn this is proof how devoid of love this world is.
Those that practice their love and blessings in their daily lives will be spat upon.
Their offerings will be yanked from their hands without understanding and resented.
The mysteries of sharing and caring that require
Hope, Faith and Love are connected to prayer.

Christians and Catholics openly expect more
insanity: fear, greed, jealousy and blind hatred.
When you know the spiritual world, there will be
no effort towards pleasing the outer circle.
Love generously in prayer those who still make demands and expect little in return, even though
their policy towards others kindness is called scapegoating. They deceive themselves by thinking people of faith are weak pushovers, and most cowards and bullies do nitpik and slander as well.

We all have flaws, we are all recieved the same way in the end. Those who love strongly and purely will focus on protecting the children first and the elderly, same as those who hate will prey upon them as weak and vulnerable, as though their lives have no value.
