I thought you were my friend

My friend, I stand in judgment now
And feel that you're to blame somehow
While on this earth I walked with you day by day
And never did you point the way
You knew the Lord in truth and glory
But never did you tell the story
My knowledge then was very dim
You could have led me safe to him
Though we lived together here on earth
You never told me of your second birth
And now I stand this day condemned
Because you failed to mention Him
You taught me many things, that's true
I called you friend and trusted you
But now I learned, now it's too late
You could have kept me from this fate
We walked by day and talked by night
And yet you showed me not the light
You let me live, love and die
And all the while you knew I'd never live on high
Yes, I called you friend in life
And trusted you in joy and strife
Yet in coming to this end
I see you really weren't my friend

You were not my friend,
so I turned away.
Not wanting to hear,
what you had to say.

But now I know,
you did mean well.
With your story that you had to tell.

Because once you know,
you have to share.
Disgruntled people please beware.

It's a story of love,
beyond this world.

I wish I'd known.

I could have been reaping his love,
instead of sin.
But you see sin is all I knew.

I so wish I would have listened to you.

Me...
Beautiful hplady, have not heard this before.
I know that time is running out on this planet. So many hate the Lord, but He loves them anyway, even more than those who are already His children.
Simply because they need Him more. angel
That's cause I just scribbled it out. I'm a Libra, I always look for balance without even knowing it.
hplady, no wonder I never read this before, it is yours and fitting so very beautiful with the first.
Wow I am impressed.................professor cheering applause dancing wave
Jenny we are all his children, and as children do, we all have to find our own way in this world. I don't think it's our place to judge whether a brother or sister hates the the Lord or not. It's not our place to try and change anyone's journey. We're all here for a reason. The Lord will draw his children unto himself, in his own time, not ours. bouquet
She'a probably selling it to a publisher as we speakmumbling
