COMPULSORY VACCINATION

THE POLISH GOVERNMENT PASSED A LAW ON COMPULSORY VACCINATION

1. Persons who have not undergone mandatory vaccination , sanitary and epidemiological studies - sanitary procedures, quarantine or isolation, involuntary hospitalization upon suspicion or diagnosis of an especially dangerous and highly contagious disease that poses a direct threat to the health or life of other people, a direct coercion measure, including containment, immobilization, or compulsory medication.
2. The decision to apply a measure of direct coercion is made by a doctor or paramedic, who determines the type of measure to be applied. The measure of direct coercion and personally supervises its implementation by medical workers. Each case of application of a measure of direct coercion is recorded in medical records.

3. A doctor or paramedic may contact the police, border police or military police for assistance in applying direct coercion. Assistance is provided subject to the equipment of officers or soldiers in measures to protect against infectious diseases by this doctor or paramedic.
4. Before applying a measure of direct coercion, the person in respect of whom the measure of coercion is applied must be informed about it. A direct application must be used and this fact is recorded in the medical records. When choosing a direct coercion measure, one should choose the least burdensome measure for this person, and when applying a direct coercion measure, one should be especially careful and take care of the well-being of this person.

5. Direct compulsion, consisting in immobilization, can be applied for no more than 4 hours. If necessary, the application of this compulsion can be extended for another 6 hours, but not longer than up to 24 hours.

6. Detention is a temporary short-term immobilization of a person with the use of physical force.

7. Immobilization is the long-term incapacitation of a person using belts, pens, sheets or a straitjacket.

8. Forced administration of the drug is an emergency introduction into the human body - without his consent.
