What Makes Jesus Unique? No one else made the claims that He did, He is alive...............

All the great religious leaders of history have one thing in common: they are dead. Only one man has risen from a grave never again to taste death. Jesus Christ died, was buried, remained in the grave for 3 days, then was raised to life again.

Jesus is unique. He is the only one proven to be the Son of God because God validated His Kingship and accepted His payment for our sins all with one incredible stroke: He raised Jesus from the dead!

Paul opens his letter to the Romans with this evidence about who Jesus is:
Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, which He had promised before by His prophets in the holy scriptures, concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was made of the seed of David according to the flesh, and declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. Romans 1:1-4

Because Jesus Christ is very much alive, five things are true right now that wouldn’t be true if He were just another dead religious leader like Confucius, Mohammed or Buddha.

Because Jesus was raised from the dead and is alive…Prayers are answered, We can talk to Jesus 24/7

FORREST GUMP goes to HEAVEN,

The day finally arrived when Forrest Gump dies and goes to Heaven.
He met at the Pearly Gates by St. Peter himself.
However, the gates are closed, and Forrest approaches the gatekeeper.

St. Peter said, "Well, Forrest, it is certainly good to see you. We have heard
a lot about you. I must tell you, though, that the place is filling up fast, and
we have been administering an entrance examination for everyone. The test
is short, but you have to pass it before you can get into Heaven."

Forrest responds, "It sure is good to be here, St. Peter, sir. But nobody ever
told me about any entrance exam. I sure hope that the test ain't too hard.
Life was a big enough test as it was."

St. Peter continued, "Yes, I know, Forrest, but the test is only three questions.
First: What two days of the week begin with the letter T?
Second: How many seconds are there in a year?
Third: What is God's first name?"

Forrest leaves to think the questions over. He returns the next day and sees
St. Peter, who waves him up, and says, "Now that you have had a chance to
think the questions over, tell me your answers."

Forrest replied, "Well, the first one -- which two days in the week begins with
the letter "T"? Shucks, that one is easy. That would be Today and Tomorrow."

The Saint's eyes opened wide and he exclaimed, "Forrest, that is not what I was
thinking, but you do have a point, and I guess I did not specify, so I will give you
credit for that answer.

How about the next one?" asked St. Peter. "How many seconds in a year?

Now that one is harder," replied Forrest, but I thunk and thunk about that,
and I guess the only answer can be twelve."
Astounded, St. Peter said, "Twelve? Twelve? Forrest, how in Heaven's name
could you come up with twelve seconds in a year?"
Forrest replied, "Shucks, there's got to be twelve: January 2nd, February 2nd,
March 2nd... "

"Hold it," interrupts St. Peter. "I see where you are going with this, and I see your
point, though that was not quite what I had in mind....but I will have to give you
credit for that one, too.

Let us go on with the third and final question. Can you tell me God's first name"?
"Sure," Forrest replied, "it's Andy."
"Andy?" exclaimed an exasperated and frustrated St Peter.

"Ok, I can understand how you came up with your answers to my first two
questions, but just how in the world did you come up with the name Andy
as the first name of God?"

"Shucks, that was the easiest one of all," Forrest replied. "I learnt it from the song,
"ANDY WALKS WITH ME, ANDY TALKS WITH ME, ANDY TELLS ME I AM HIS OWN."

St. Peter opened the Pearly Gates, and said: "Run Forrest, run."

Give us a sense of humor, Lord.
Give us the ability to understand,
And put humor in our life,
And -- pass it on to other folk.

“When you were dead in your trespasses . . . God made you alive together with him (Christ) when he forgave us all our trespasses, erasing the record that stood against us with its legal demands. He set this aside, nailing it to the cross” (2:13, 14). And the Letter to the Hebrews responds to the question of “more than one lifetime?” in saying that it is “appointed for mortals to die once, and after that the judgment” (9: 27).

If the record of all our trespasses has been erased, there is no need to come back again and again trying to expunge, by dint of our own striving, the negative imprints on that record. The central message of the gospel is that our fulfillment is not our doing or the result of our own efforts, but rather a gift of God’s grace. So neither one nor many lives can be adequate for reaching perfection. At the heart of Christian faith stands a Savior. “This saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance,” wrote the apostle Paul: “that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” (1 Timothy 1: 15)

Happiness Rules

A 92-year-old, petite, well-poised and proud man, who is fully dressed each morning
by eight o'clock, with his hair fashionably coifed and shaved perfectly, even though
he is legally blind, moved to a nursing home today. His wife of 70 years recently
passed away, making the move necessary. After many hours of waiting patiently in
the lobby of the nursing home, he smiled sweetly when told his room was ready.

As he maneuvered his walker to the elevator, I provided a visual description of
his tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been hung on his window.

"I love it," he stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having just
been presented with a new puppy.
"Mr. Jones, you haven't seen the room; just wait."
"That doesn't have anything to do with it," he replied.
"Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my room or not
doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged ... it's how I arrange my mind. I
already decided to love it. "It's a decision I make every morning when I wake up.
I have a choice; I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficulty I have with
the parts of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed and be thankful for
the ones that do.

Each day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open, I'll focus on the new day and all
the happy memories I've stored away. Just for this time in my life.
Old age is like a bank account. You withdraw from what you've put in.

So, my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of happiness in the bank account of
memories! Thank you for your part in filling my Memory bank. I am still depositing."
Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

1. Free your heart from hatred.
2. Free your mind from worries.
3. Live simply.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less.

Words of wisdom for sure
.................................
It is no secret

Back in the 50's, there was a well known radio host/comedian/song
writer in Hollywood named Stuart Hamblen who was noted for his
drinking, womanizing, partying, etc.

One of his bigger hits at the time was "I won't go hunting with you
Jake, but I'll go chasing women."

One day, along came a young preacher holding a tent revival.
Hamblen had him on his radio show presumably to poke fun at him.

In order to gather more material for his show, Hamblen showed up
at one of the revival meetings.
Early in the service, the preacher announced, "There is one man in
this audience who is a big fake."

There were probably others who thought the same thing, but Hamblen
was convinced that he was the one the preacher was talking about.
Some would call that conviction, but he was having none of that.

Still, the words continued to haunt him until a couple of nights later
he showed up drunk at the preacher's hotel door around 2AM
demanding that the preacher pray for him!
But the preacher refused, saying, "This is between you and God and
I'm not going to get in the middle of it."

But he did invite Stuart in and they talked until about 5 AM at which
point Stuart dropped to his knees and with tears, cried out to God.
But that is not the end of the story. Stuart quit drinking, quit chasing
women, quit everything that was 'fun.' Soon he began to lose favor
with the Hollywood crowd.

He was ultimately fired by the radio station when he refused to accept
a beer company as a sponsor.
Hard times were upon him. He tried writing a couple of "Christian" songs
but the only one that had much success was "This Old House", written
for his friend Rosemary Clooney.

As he continued to struggle, a long time friend named John took him
aside and told him, "All your troubles started when you 'got religion,'
was it worth it all?" Stuart answered simply, "Yes."

Then his friend asked, "You liked your booze so much, don't you ever
miss it?" And his answer was, "No."
John then said, "I don't understand how you could give it up so easily."

And Stuart's response was, "It's no big secret. All things are possible
with God." To this John said, "That's a catchy phrase.
You should write a song about it."

And as they say, "The rest is history."
The song Carl Stuart Hamblen wrote was "It Is No Secret."

"It is no secret what God can do. What He's done for others, He'll do for you.
With arms wide open, He'll welcome you. It is no secret, what God can do...."

By the way... the friend was John Wayne.
And the young preacher who refused to pray for Stuart Hamblen?
That was Billy Graham.

1 Jesus loves me, this I know,
for the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to him belong;
they are weak, but he is strong.
Refrain:
Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.
2 Jesus loves me he who died
heaven's gate to open wide.
He will wash away my sin,
let his little child come in.
3 Jesus loves me, this I know,
as he loved so long ago,
taking children on his knee,
saying, "Let them come to me."
He has risen.............halalua
Jesus’s disciples took his body down from the cross. They lovingly placed it in a new tomb and closed the entrance with a large stone. Early in the morning of the third day there was a great earthquake. An angel came down from heaven and rolled the stone away from the tomb. Some women who loved Him came to anoint his body, and they were surprised to find the tomb empty. They were met by angels who told them, “He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. And they remembered his words” (Luke 24:6-8).

Following his resurrection, Jesus met his disciples in an upper room. He showed them the wounds in his hands and his side and blessed them with the peace of God. He spent forty days teaching and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. With his death and resurrection, the plan of salvation was completed.

One day while speaking with his disciples, Jesus told them to wait at Jerusalem until they received the power of the Holy Spirit. This would enable them to witness for Him wherever they went. When He finished speaking, He lifted up his hands, blessed them, and ascended into heaven. As the disciples watched Him ascend, two men in white clothing appeared and said, “Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven” (Acts 1:11).

So when the people of Samaria heard Jesus’s message, they believed on Him. They told the woman, “Now we believe, not because of what you said, but because we have heard Him ourselves and know that He really is the Christ.” The gospel of Jesus Christ, which is his teachings, death, and resurrection, is the power of God unto salvation. To experience salvation, come to Jesus, repent, and forsake sin. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and commit your life to Him. Then through the power of the Holy Spirit you can love and forgive all people, even your enemies. As Christians continue in faithful obedience, Jesus gives power to live victoriously over sin.

Jesus is now in heaven interceding for mankind and preparing a place for the faithful (John 14:2-3). Someday soon He will return to judge the world. The apostle John wrote about that day. “And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it... And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened... and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books” (Revelation 20:11-12). God will separate the faithful followers of Jesus Christ from those who lived in selfish unbelief. He will receive all the faithful into the heavenly mansions He has prepared.

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross
The emblem of suffering and shame
And I love that old cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain
So I'll cherish the old rugged cross (rugged cross)
Till my trophies at last I lay down
I will cling to the old rugged cross
And exchange it some day for a crown
To the old rugged cross I will ever be true
It's shame and reproach gladly bear
Then he'll call me some day to my home far away
Where his glory forever I'll share
And I'll cherish the old rugged cross (rugged cross)
Till my trophies at last I lay down
And I will cling to the old rugged cross
And exchange it some day for a crown
I will cling to the old rugged cross
And exchange it some day for a crown
According to the Bible, assurance of salvation rests on four unshakable pillars.

After I said I was writing a book about how we can be sure we are going to heaven, she marveled, “You mean you can know that you are going to heaven?”

Realizing God had opened a door for me to tell her about Christ, I reinforced that we can know for certain our eternal destiny, saying, “We can afford to be wrong about going to Sisters, Oregon, but not about going to heaven.”

The truth is, we can be sure about where we will spend eternity. We can know with certainty that when we die, we will go to heaven. But how can we be sure? Many people struggle with the certainty of their salvation, especially new believers.

How can we know where we stand with God? The Bible teaches that the assurance of salvation rests securely upon four unshakable pillars:

Pillar 1: God Cannot Lie!
First, assurance is based on the absolute trustworthiness of Scripture. Throughout the New Testament, we read God’s promises to save all who will believe upon His Son. The Bible says, “Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.”(1) This is a promise! All who have committed their lives to Jesus Christ may have the firm confidence of salvation based upon the infallibility of God’s Word.

Jesus said, “The one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.”(2) If you come to Jesus with genuine repentance and faith, He promises that He will save you. We can know Jesus has received us because, quite simply, He said so! When the Bible speaks, God speaks. And what God said, He will surely do. He will save all who call upon Jesus Christ. You have His word on it.

1 Amazing grace (how sweet the sound)
that saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
was blind, but now I see.
2 'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
and grace my fears relieved;
how precious did that grace appear
the hour I first believed!
3 Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come:
'tis grace has brought me safe thus far,
and grace will lead me home.
4 The Lord has promised good to me,
his word my hope secures;
he will my shield and portion be
as long as life endures.
Good morning to you too Lindsy the only way is according to me is to appeal to a higher power that is to pray...................

[size=18]Aretha Franklin and Rod Stewart also recorded "Amazing Grace" around the same time, and both of their renditions were popular. All four versions were marketed to distinct types of audiences, thereby assuring its place as a pop song. Johnny Cash recorded it on his 1975 album Sings Precious Memories, dedicating it to his older brother Jack, who had been killed in a mill accident when they were boys in Dyess, Arkansas.
Cash and his family sang it to themselves while they worked in the cotton fields following Jack's death. Cash often included the song when he toured prisons, saying "For the three minutes that song is going on, everybody is free. It just frees the spirit and frees the person."

The U.S. Library of Congress has a collection of 3,000 versions of and songs inspired by "Amazing Grace", some of which were first-time recordings by folklorists Alan and John Lomax, a father and son team who in 1932 traveled thousands of miles across the southern states of the US to capture the different regional styles of the song. More contemporary renditions include samples from such popular artists as Sam Cooke and the Soul Stirrers (1963), the Byrds (1970), Elvis Presley (1971), Skeeter Davis (1972), Mighty Clouds of Joy (1972), Amazing Rhythm Aces (1975), Willie Nelson (1976) and the Lemonheads (1992) size]
I serve a risen Saviour, He's in the world today
I know that He is living, whatever men may say
I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer
And just the time I need Him He's always near
He lives (He lives), He lives (He lives), Christ Jesus lives today
He walks with me and talks with me
Along life's narrow way
He lives (He lives), He lives (He lives), Salvation to impart
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart
In all the world around me I see His loving care
And though my heart grows weary I never will despair
I know that He is leading, through all the stormy blast
The day of His appearing will come at last
He lives (He lives), He lives (He lives), Christ Jesus lives today
He walks with me and talks with me
Along life's narrow way
He lives (He lives), He lives (He lives), Salvation to impart
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart
Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian Lift up your voice and sing
Eternal hallelujahs to Jesus Christ, the King
The Hope of all who seek Him, the Help of all who find
None other is so loving, so good and kind
He lives (He lives), He lives (He lives), Christ Jesus lives today
He walks with me and talks with me
Along life's narrow way
He lives (He lives), He lives (He lives), Salvation to impart
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart

Miclee You send this in some time ago and with live music will you do it again please?
At times we look back to a time that was so embarrassing at a time when we
are so vulnerable like for me at age 12............even now at times, I remember this.
I was chosen to recite a poem, a very sad poem in front of three other classes, oh boy what horror.
Already in class rehearsing in front of only my classmates, I stumbled over the last two sentences.

"A little boy is watching his brothers playing outside, he longs so much to join them but he can't.
He has been sick for so very long now..............
But someday when he gets well he will also play outside and have fun just like them...........
His mother is sitting by his bed feeling so sad for her little child as she feels his pain, sees the longing
as he is watching his many brothers having so much fun.
She takes the hand of this child in hers and tells him that his daddy who is at sea, will soon be home.
(She does not tell him that a heavy storm has broken out making it very likely that his daddy does not have
much of a chance in his small boat)
So the mother is comforting her little boy telling him that soon he will get well and join his brothers outside.

Now come my last two sentences, oh no not again, not now..............
My teacher is yelling, mother mother, no result, .......my classmates yell, mother, mother.
I don't hear them, am frozen............
My teacher is coming over to me now, she has no choice but helps me with those two last sentences.

"Mother, mother don't be sad, please don't cry..........
For your little boy will soon be with his daddy."

I had a lot of the kids crying, but now there was laughter..............

Yes, that is life.............

The sky is bright, my Father, with the morning light.
Always after night, there is a new day. Always after
the winter, there is springtime. Always after the seed
is dropped in the soil to die, new life springs forth. Always
after the tough times, there comes recovery. Always,
my Father, when a penitent, contrite heart bows in
repentance before you, there comes the joy of fresh
pardon. And so now, my Father, I come, expecting good
things to happen, for I have stepped into the circle of your
love, and I find mercy and Your peace here. Strength is
coming like a warm rain driven by warm winds. Healing
is coming through the living Christ. Thank You, Father, Amen.

Thank you, Lord, that You have come to give us affir-
mation as persons, salvation as sinners, to turn us into
the potential people of being a part of this world's solu-
tion, messengers of real love. Thank You, Jesus Christ,
I accept You as my Savior. I accept You for all the for-
giveness that I need. I embrace your holy cross, and by
the sacrifice of Your precious life, I have been made clean.
What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Amen.
Septimus Winner was born in 1827 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He taught himself music and ran a music store and also taught people how to play various instruments.

He wrote several songs in his day which became popular. Some of his popular songs included, "Listen to the Mockingbird" (1855), "Where, Oh, Where Has My Little Dog Gone?" (1864) and "Ten Little Indians."

During the American Civil War, Septimus composed a song entitled, "Give Us Back Our Old Commander: Little Mac, The Peoples Pride". He aimed it as an appeal to President Abraham Lincoln to return Union General George McClellan to service. Unfortunately, it was deemed anti-Union and in 182 Winner was jailed on a charge of treason. He was freed after he agreed to destroy all remaining copies of the song.

It is, however, this song that he never intended to be a religious song that we still remember him for. It has been included in many evangelical Christian hymnals.

Whispering Hope Lyrics

Soft as the voice of an angel,
Breathing a lesson unheard,
Hope with a gentle persuasion
Whispers her comforting word:
Wait till the darkness is over,
Wait till the tempest is done,
Hope for the sunshine tomorrow,
After the shower is gone.

Refrain:
Whispering hope, oh, how welcome thy voice,
Making my heart in its sorrow rejoice.

If, in the dusk of the twilight,
Dim be the region afar,
Will not the deepening darkness
Brighten the glimmering star?
Then when the night is upon us,
Why should the heart sink away?
When the dark midnight is over,
Watch for the breaking of day.

Hope, as an anchor so steadfast,
Rends the dark veil for the soul,
Whither the Master has entered,
Robbing the grave of its goal;
Come then, oh, come, glad fruition,
Come to my sad weary heart;
Come, O Thou blest hope of glory,
Never, oh, never depart.
Oh boy, how time flies and you want/need another hug..............hug right? right!......................
Just for you Shawnthor.............

I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear, falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known
He speaks and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known
I stayed in the garden with Him
Though the night all around me is falling
But He bids me go, through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known
None other has ever known
This is a very peaceful prayer my dear.

Keep strong. bouquet
You are right Lindsy at times a hymn says it all, gentle words, true words, praising the Lord, that is why I love to place them here.
Only too bad I am not able to bring the music too...................most people know the words and the melody so lets hnnnnnnnnn it all together now..
...................lovely.......................
Yes dear Jenny, tge spirit is upon us.teddybear

Holy Spirit has the power to change your life

It is the Holy Spirit’s job to produce Christ-like character in you.

The Bible says, “The Lord ... makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.” (2 Corinthians 3:18)

This process of changing us to be more like Jesus is called sanctification.

You can’t reproduce the character of Jesus on your own or by your own strength. New Year’s resolutions, willpower, and best intentions are not enough. Only the Holy Spirit has the power to make the changes God wants to make in our lives. Philippians 2:13 says, God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.

When we hear the phrase, “the power of the Holy Spirit,” many people think of miracles and intense emotions. But most of the time, the Holy Spirit’s power is released in our lives in quiet, unassuming ways that you aren’t even aware of or feel. The Holy Spirit often nudges us with “a gentle whisper.”

The likeness of Christ is not produced by imitation but by inhabitation. We allow Christ to live through us. “This is the secret: Christ lives in you.” (Colossians 1:27)

This happens in real life through the choices we make. We choose to do the right thing in situations and then trust God’s Spirit to give us his power, love, faith and wisdom to do it. Since God’s Spirit lives inside of us, these things are always available for the asking.
Yes, you are so right Teddy. Jesus was love personified...........it is a love that none of us are capable off and will never achieve.................we will see and feel more of that love someday when we are meeting in our next life...................teddybear
There are many people who claim to live by faith but
remain low achievers. We all know individuals who
claim to exercise real faith yet they accomplish little
or nothing. What's wrong? Frequently failure is the
result of a too-shallow faith.

I walk to the beach and I see people cautiously put-
ting their toes in the edge of the ocean. They splash
around ankle-deep, come back to lie down in the sun,
and go home claiming they have been swimming.

There are others who wade waist-deep in the water
before they turn back to lie on the warm sand.

Then there is the real venturer who moves steadily
deeper until the water reaches his shoulders and he
begins to swim. He has moved to the deeper level
and can honestly claim that he has been swimming.
Mountain moving-faith is not merely touching your
toes in the water.

Mountain-moving faith is faith that dares to step into
deep water.
Over the years I had popcorn dreams or visions I would dream about my ex-husband. It was always just one scene, I thought, “Oh well, he is just thinking about me that is all.”

Then one day, I did have a vision that showed me that he was in danger. I could clearly tell this. I decided to find him, I felt that I was given this knowledge for a reason, why? I had no clue.

I managed to get his social security number from an old boss of his.
I gave it to the Red Cross and they found him for me. When I got him on the phone, the first question that I asked him was, if he was in trouble. He was shocked; “Yes, I sure am, but how could you possibly know that?”

We had not talked or corresponded for about sixteen years.
He went on to tell me that his mail was not getting through, that he had been shot at and had been threatened. This was all because he was suing an old boss for not paying him over time, when he had worked many extra hours.

I told him that I was now a Christian and that I knew that he was in some kind of trouble, as the Lord had shown me.
He was very surprised to hear it. He then told me that he now knew what it meant to lose me. I told him that it was too bad that he had to lose me before he realized that.
I have to admit that it felt good to hear him say this.

I then proceeded to send him scriptures and how to accept the Lord as his own personal Saviour.
I have never contacted him again. I witnessed to him, as I believed that is what the Lord wanted me to do.

Why me I wondered, well I have found out that my ex had become like a recluse, staying away from people. So it was through me that the Lord chose to work. It must have been something like that, for I never had another dream or vision about him after that.

Yes, He does work through people!

All of us at one time have heard His voice, but we often ignore it, and later we say, after we realize that we made a mistake, I knew it! I should have listened to it. If only we could learn to listen to that inner voice all the time.
Tune in to God's Thoughts!
Thank You, Father, that my mind is designed to pick up Your thoughts and that
my heart has been created to welcome the feeling of love, Your Spirit within.
Thank You, Father, that I can in this time of prayer, have the freedom to reach
out and let the thoughts that are in me come out. Touch them, bless them, and
ordain them to become the seeds of better living. Grace, mercy, and God's
peace are with You now.
Amen.

Thank You, Lord, that You have called me to develop the potential and the
possibility that is built into every one of Your children, and that includes me.
Release, O God, within me the attitude, "I can do it, with the help of God."
Let it begin with me now.

Jesus Christ, I want to thank You, that You have come to be my Savior, my
Lord, my Best Friend. Thank You for walking with me and talking with me.

Thank You for the joy we share as we walk in prayer. Father, whisper in my ear
to give me a dream for today, a dream that makes life wonderful and eternity exciting.
Amen.
A lot of people from all walks of life have had a bad experience with the ouija board please believe these stories and don' be curious................
Hexed
Justin played with a Ouija board one day with several of his friends. They asked questions, but instead of the planchette moving to certain letters, it began to move in a strange pattern. “It went to all four corners of the board and made an X,” the 32-year-old New Jersey resident tells Reader’s Digest. “Then it just went in circles.” The next time he used the board, it was with a different friend at his house. Again, the planchette moved in the same strange pattern. “I felt like it was some kind of hex,” he continues. Later that night when he was sleeping, he felt a forceful hand grab his arm and wake him up. Everyone else in the house was sound asleep.
And now may the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make His face to shine upon you
and be gracious unto you,
and may God give to you his peace
in your going out
and in your coming in,
in your lying down
and in your rising up,
in your labor and in your leisure,
in your laughter and in your tears,
until you come to stand before Jesus
in that day in which there is no
sunset and no dawning" only life
everlasting in the presence of God and
arms of our savior. Amen.
Despite its recent surge in popularity, fasting is a practice that dates back centuries and plays a central role in many cultures and religions.

Defined as the abstinence from all or some foods or drinks for a set period of time, there are many different ways of fasting.

In general, most types of fasts are performed over 24–72 hours.

Intermittent fasting, on the other hand, involves cycling between periods of eating and fasting, ranging from a few hours to a few days at a time.

Fasting has been shown to have many health benefits, from increased weight loss to better brain function.

Here are 8 health benefits of fasting — backed by science.

1. Promotes Blood Sugar Control by Reducing Insulin Resistance
Several studies have found that fasting may improve blood sugar control, which could be especially useful for those at risk of diabetes.

In fact, one study in 10 people with type 2 diabetes showed that short-term intermittent fasting significantly decreased blood sugar levels (1Trusted Source).

Meanwhile, another review found that both intermittent fasting and alternate-day fasting were as effective as limiting calorie intake at reducing insulin resistance (2Trusted Source).

Decreasing insulin resistance can increase your body’s sensitivity to insulin, allowing it to transport glucose from your bloodstream to your cells more efficiently.

Coupled with the potential blood sugar-lowering effects of fasting, this could help keep your blood sugar steady, preventing spikes and crashes in your blood sugar levels.

Keep in mind though that some studies have found that fasting may impact blood sugar levels differently for men and women.

For instance, one small, three-week study showed that practicing alternate-day fasting impaired blood sugar control in women but had no effect in men (3Trusted Source).

Summary Intermittent fasting
and alternate-day fasting could help decrease blood sugar levels and reduce
insulin resistance but may affect men and women differently.

2. Promotes Better Health by Fighting Inflammation
While acute inflammation is a normal immune process used to help fight off infections, chronic inflammation can have serious consequences for your health.

Research shows that inflammation may be involved in the development of chronic conditions, such as heart disease, cancer and rheumatoid arthritis (4Trusted Source).

Some studies have found that fasting can help decrease levels of inflammation and help promote better health.

One study in 50 healthy adults showed that intermittent fasting for one month significantly decreased levels of inflammatory markers (5Trusted Source).

Another small study discovered the same effect when people fasted for 12 hours a day for one month (6Trusted Source).

What’s more, one animal study found that following a very low-calorie diet to mimic the effects of fasting reduced levels of inflammation and was beneficial in the treatment of multiple sclerosis, a chronic inflammatory condition (7Trusted Source).

Summary Some studies have found
that fasting could decrease several markers of inflammation and may be useful
in treating inflammatory conditions, such as multiple sclerosis.

3. May Enhance Heart Health by Improving Blood Pressure, Triglycerides and Cholesterol Levels
Jenny if only we can all realize how lucky we are to know Him.

Do you remember when you were little your mom would say, when she saw you had trouble putting on your clothes right, "Let mommy help you" You would answer her; " I can do it myself"
I was reminded of this just last week when I needed to find an important paper.
I looked everywhere except the toilet tank lol. Then I finally thought to pray and ask the Lord.
Within 1/2 hour I found it, there it was. "Thank you, Lord" I needed you but thought I could do it myself.
I feel the Lord's presence all the time and yet did not pray until I could not find that paper having wasted all morning trying to find it...................
Yep, the enemy hates it when you pray and will always try anything so you forget to pray..........teddybear
The religious encounter of Christian missionaries and Native peoples cannot be separated from the progressive seizure and settlement of tribal territories by European colonists. Throughout most of American history, however, there has been little recognition of the distinctively religious claims of Native peoples to the land and its sacred sites.

The encounter of Christians and Native peoples is too complex and varied to be characterized in general. There are surprising instances, such as the late 18th century Russian mission in Alaska, where early missionaries saw the Tlingit or Sugpiaq people of Kodiak Island as deeply religious, understanding that faith in terms of their own. More often, however, Christian missionaries did not recognize the customs of the Native peoples as spiritual or religious traditions in their own right and many mission schools effectively removed Native young people from their cultures. Many Christian colonists and missionaries, even those most sympathetic to the lifeways of the Native peoples, categorized Native Americans as “heathens” who either accepted or resisted conversion to Christianity. They did not place Native American traditions under the protection of religious freedom that had been enshrined in the Constitution. It was not until 1978, almost 200 years after the Constitution was signed, that the American Indian Religious Freedom Act gave specific legal recognition to the integrity of Native American religions.

We had a great many horses, of which we gave them what they needed, and they gave us guns and tobacco in return. All the Nez Perces made friends with Lewis and Clarke, and agreed to let them pass through their country, and never to make war on white men. This promise the Nez Perces have never broken. No white man can accuse them of bad faith, and speak with a straight tongue. It has always been the pride of the Nez Perces that they were the friends of the white men.

When my father was a young man there came to our country a white man (Rev. Mr. Spaulding) who talked spirit law. He won the affections of our people because he spoke good things to them. At first he did not say anything about white men wanting to settle on our lands. Nothing was said about that until about twenty winters ago, when a number of white people came into our country and built houses and made farms. At first our people made no complaint. They thought there was room enough for all to live in peace, and they were learning many things from the white men that seemed to be good. But we soon found that the white men were growing rich very fast, and were greedy to possess everything the Indian had. My father was the first to see through the schemes of the white men, and he warned his tribe to be careful about trading with them. He had suspicion of men who seemed so anxious to make money. I was a boy then, but I remember well my father’s caution. He had sharper eyes than the rest of our people.

Next there came a white officer (Governor Stevens), who invited all the Nez Perces to a treaty council. After the council was opened he made known his heart. He said there were a great many white people in the country, and many more would come; that he wanted the land marked out so that the Indians and white men could be separated. If they were to live in peace it was necessary, he said, that the Indians should have a country set apart for them, and in that country they must stay. My father, who represented his band, refused to have anything to do with the council, because he wished to be a free man. He claimed that no man owned any part of the earth, and a man could not sell what he did not own.
Tennessee Erny;
Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling
Calling for you and for me
See, on the portals he's waiting and watching
Watching for you and for me, (for me)
Come home, (come home)
Come home, (come home)
Ye who are weary come home
Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling
Calling, oh, sinner, come home!
Oh for the wonderful love he has promised
Promised for you and for me
Though we have sinned, he has mercy and pardon
Pardon for you and for me, (for me)
Come home, (come home)
Come home, (come home)
Ye who are weary come home
Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling,
Calling, oh, sinner, come home
(Sinner come home, sinner come home, sinner come home)
Sinner come home.
Yes, whosoever wants to believe this; The prize for our sins has been paid in full, when Jesus died on the cross and he shed His blood for us, there is not one thing we can add to this.
All we need to do is accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior............
At the beginning of the book of Revelations 3- 21, It says; "Behold I stand at the door and I knock, If anyone hears my voice I will come in and dine with him"
Who is the one doing the knocking? It is Jesus Himself!
Amazing He is giving you unbeliever, His last call personally.........can anyone be more humble and loving?
One of the reasons some people have a problem believing is because it all seems so easy.
Some say well if the prize has been paid in full we can now sin all we want?
If you are a believer and you willingly sin, you will first find out that your relationship with the Lord is not as
good the way it was before...........You avoid Him
Your prayers are no longer answered, yes there are always consequences.
If you love the Lord you won't like this, and seek to restore your relationship with Him............

Mom is baking cookies and tells the child; " Now don't touch them okay?"
Mom leaves the room and the child takes a cookie.
Mom comes back into the room and the child hides and can not look at mom.
The child confesses to mom, she forgives the child and all is well again between mom and child..

Gospel music has always been close to Lynn’s heart, reaching back to her youth in eastern Kentucky.
“My daddy’s first cousin was a preacher, Elzie Banks, who I wrote a song about. All of us kids would sing in Sunday school as long as we could carry a tune. Gospel music and church are what I knew. We knew Sunday school, and the preacher, Elzie Banks. We had church in a little one-room schoolhouse that my great-grandfather built.” (The song she wrote about Banks, “Elzie Banks,” appeared on her 1988 album Who Was That Stranger?)

Lynn has made three gospel albums during her career, including Hymns in 1965 and Who Says God Is Dead! in 1968. Both albums allowed Lynn to include her son, Ernest Ray — with “When I Hear My Children Pray” on the first and “Mama, Why” on the latter.

“I wrote ‘Mama, Why’ after my daddy had passed away. I lost him when I was 27. He was only 51,” Lynn says.

Fans of the Coal Miner’s Daughter will be glad to know that she has quite a bit of unreleased music in the can. “I’ve got about 90 songs cut right now,” she said, confessing that she still gets excited about creating music. “I still love it. It’s a way to find out if you can still sing or not.” .

Most people think of miracles as incredible events that took place long ago. They assume that miracles no longer happen today. This, however, is incorrect. Miracles continue to happen today. Part of the reason modern miracles are overlooked, however, has to do with what most people think of when they hear the word “miracle.” For most people, a miracle is something big and flashy. It is flowing lava that mysteriously parts around a home and then converges on the other side of the house. It is a lightning strike that hits a would-be murderer and saves a parent and child. Such events are undoubtedly miraculous, but they are not the only sorts of miracles that occur today. Some miracles are small and quiet. There are also a number of miracles that made use of human intervention. These are the sort of miracles like when a sinking boat does not suddenly empty of water but another boat appears out of nowhere to rescue the passengers. Such events tend to make up the bulk of modern miracles but the human element of them often leaves third party observers unaware that they have just witnessed a miracle. As a result, miracles sometimes get overlooked such as these four modern miracles.
