"Mediocre" photos of NJ the past 2 weeks.

Here are some photos I 'snapped' within the last 2 weeks here in New Jersey and presented this week at a local photo club.
The professional photographers loved them. But, you may feel differently. That's OK with me.
One can't make everyone happy.

Let me know which one YOU like the most, ..... or at least hate the least. laugh

Chronologically, as they were "snapped" on 2 different days;

#1. This is the foliage along the banks of Farrington Lake

#2. Foliage from a maple at the edge of a park in South Brunswick

#3. Same as #2, but different tree

#4. Same park, but ready seeds from a weed in a field after sunset.

Looks good from here...

eYe have an old heavy Pentax just sitting on a shelf.

On the other hand...I shot an action movie with my phone yesterday... featuring 2 cats & a rocking horse.
That first picture is not very far from where you lived Bob.
Yeah.....When eYe found out about Edison, the Great Train Robbery [ budget $150
And Milltown....it kinda blew me over.
In a word, that #5 Deer pic is AWESOME. What's she saying? If I were to guess it's
"You talkina me?" laugh
I had a cousin who worked as a waitress in a lodge located in Colorado. On her days off she often went around the neighboring countryside taking scenic photos of the landscape, especially in Autumn when the leaves turned color.

Whenever she came upon an abandoned barn, she would gather small pieces of badly weathered timber and collected large nails that were used in the construction of the barns.

She had the photos processed professionally, cut the wood into picture frames added the rusty nails and voila! Out of her labor came some cool looking artwork that sold in the gift shop at the lodge.
if they are so mediocre, why do you brand them with your name? fear of theft? that seems to be the narrative. glad you're on board. i would think nothing less. in other news, i suspect that doe will be in the crockpot shortly. it's bow season here. her fate is by firepower or the grille of an SUV.
O - The deer was just chewing grass.

Ch - That sounds quite resourceful.
I like the one of Bacon, I think he's chewing his cud. Or maybe it's Lee - they look the same.thumbs up
r - I'd prefer it, if you wouldn't compare my deer friends to those animals. laugh
Thank you for sharing your pictures Jim.

I like #4 the most.
You are quite welcome. The story about #4 is that it was 'snapped' after the sun set.
There was still some light bouncing off the overhead clouds.
Thus, I just used a relatively long exposure to ensure enough light.

It was also not my originally intended subject.
From about 150 yards of distance I saw a harrier hawk scan flying a field for prey.
I saw the bird go down in the field and I hustled to make it to approximately where I thought the bird went down, but I could not find the bird after looking for about 15 minutes. I did find what I believe to be a sole redtail hawk feather, likely unconnected to that event. Anyway, once I gave up looking for the hawk, I turned to go back to my car
and I encountered those seeds & pods. The pods kind of reminded me of vanilla in their shape and the seeds reminded me of a dandelion somewhat. So, despite not knowing what weed they were, I found them interesting. I still might go back there in the daylight to take some more shots of them.
