...No secret, that their primary role is pro incompetent teacher/pro socialist indoctrination, verses best interests of the kids. But look at property tax bills, where they are still itemized. Often 70% for local schools, even if such are rare in many counties, and much fewer in number as enrollment drops. Don't own your home? Well a big chunk of your rent goes down the same rat hole. No schools left---it gets dumped into the general fund, for tax and spend waste. Don't take my words for it.Harris/ex-Biden are big supporters of government "workers' " unions. Whose members have job benefits, long gone for workers in the dreaded private sectors. As in defined benefit lifetime pensions, health care, etc.
Many Brits recall pre- Thatcher days, when transport and other government workers, already in cushy jobs, could strike on whim. No more rides on the tube. Nurse/doctor on strike, when your child has meningitis. Nice. You heard it here first.
Your decision, as you will be forced to live it. Enlightened free market economies---verses socialism---or much worse.
Communism---not really so bad, until other peoples' money runs out.
