Admiral, there be whales here!

Another Star Trek marathon and I'm obsessing. This time, it's STAR TREK IV - The Voyage Home.

I used to be a big fan of "Star Trek" - I watched all movies (old and new), "Star Trek - The Original Series", "Star Trek - The Next Generation" (my favourite one - watched many times), "Star Trek - Deep Space Nine" and "Star Trek - Voyager" (also watched several times). I tried watching "Star Trek - Enterprise" and "Star Trek - Discovery", but didn't like them. I watched season one of "Picard" and regretted it deeply. The series is made and directed by the same man who creates "Star Trek - Discovery" and who has no feeling and understanding for Star Trek universe. thumbs down

At the moment "The Orville" is the only modern series that has at least some similar atmosphere. I recommend! thumbs up

You should move to the forums. It's more fun there and from time to time you can read or talk about something interesting, too. thumbs up
Whats wrong jumbo has the full moon got to you or aren't you not getting enough attention on your blogs.im sure chat doesn't need you to fight his battles...
You've been here 30 years with the same photo ,why don't you show the punters your real age

They have always laughed at us, nerds. moping

A friend once told me: "You don't look like a nerd, but definitely have a nerd soul!" laugh

And - of course - "Weird Al" Yankovic has something to say about it (and I think it goes well with this blog):

Nice2meetyoutoo, my presence on CS serves a beneficial purpose to the members here. Too bad you're unable to make the same claim.

Speaking of Star Trek...} The original Series is loaded with Easter Eggs-- most obviously, the cellular flip-phone.
Your reporter also recalls the first Egg he spotted about 15 years ago in a very early episode ( may have been the pilot..
Anyhoo, this Pike fellow is confined to a futuristic wheelchair...and on his face is a very large, prominent scar...eYe became curious as a result of the way the Director set up a scene with said character..
Turns out the Scar is a precise Artistic representation of North & South Vietnam.
The latest Egg just cracked open on the Lincoln episode..
And my dear readers would not understand my feeble attempt to explain...but it pertains to 2 Lincolns, 2 Trump's [ hint:Gemini ]...copper & 5g skynet..
If interested...See, the yt Channel: Enter the Stars..for all the up dates....

Do you realize you've tried this tactic on an earlier blog?
I was a Trek Nerd till DS9. I just could not get into that show, and Voyager killed it stone dead for me. moping

A lot of the good scenes in Star trek 4 were from Nimoy promising members of the Cast that they would get some good scenes in the 4th movie, because 3 really was a Kirk vehicle and the rest of them didn't have much to do. I have Nimoy's Autobiography "I am Spock" which is a really great read. He said in it that the title of his first Autobiography "I'm not Spock" was supposed to be a joke, and it was the biggest mistake he ever made. Go figure.
Children often repeat the same limited adolescent jargon.
The insecure ones feel the need to put down others, in a lame attempt to elevate self worth.
Of course, they do the opposite.
On here, the most insecure will travel to other's blogs and do so without maintaining relevance to the blog.
Thus, they stick out like a neon sign flashing the I.D tag 'Loser'
"...it was the biggest mistake he ever made."

Did anyone consider this?

Star Trek "The Next Generation" taught me everything! It created my values, the way I wanted the world to be and develop. I wanted to be like Deanna Troi (I know, I know how funny it is laugh ) and almost enrolled psychology. There's still one tiny part of me that is sorry that I didn't study it. TNG will always have a special place in my heart. heart1
